They flew for a while - and she enjoyed each site her eyes took in, but none more so than the trees below her. They weren't something that she was able to see often, and each color fascinated her. What interested her most of all were all the different patches of color and weather that seemed to change abruptly without them being warned before hand. Just strict likes that contrasted from one extreme to the other like walls separated them into patches.
She had no idea how or why it was this way - but she had no way to ask at the moment, so she saved the inquiry for later. As she watched the ground below, something caught her eyes - something that shined and blinked from under the greenery of the trees.
Ismyrea had no idea what it was, but for some reason, she was drawn towards it. Now she had to know what it was even if it was just nothing. So, she swooped in front of Lanshu to get is attention and dived off towards the area.
Unsure if he followed her or not, she still went towards the siren's call regardless. After she dipped under the canopy, she nearly ran straight into the metallic rod that had reflected the light of the sun into her eye. Stopped just in time, she followed the line down towards the dirt that seemed to be mounted on a hill.
Something about this place felt familiar -like she had been here a thousand times before. It was more than dirt, and she knew it somehow. When she landed, she took her mortal form and looked around the area with great interest.
Ismyrea hoped her memory would thrive through and spark some kind of inspiration or sign - but all she felt was lost. Disappointed, she sighed out and stepped around the area as if that would help her situation.
The ground was soft, and yet things crunched below her as she walked. Frantic, she walked to the pole and shook at it for answers. She was frustrated, hurt, sad, and confused about everything her life ever had been - and now this stupid metallic rod dared to prick at her mind?
She had been so sensitive lately (far more than usual), and her eyes watered as she stood there with no answers, and alone....but not for long at least.
Lanshu came and landed behind her and rushed to her backside. "Sweetheart, are you alright?" He asked with genuine concern as he reached out for her.
She spun around and pressed herself into his arms with a shuddered sigh. She tapped her finger against his chest as she sobbed silently as got overwhelmed with a tidal wave of emotion. 'I don't know - something pulled at my mind. This pole looked so familiar, and I thought if I touched it, it would help jog any memories - but nothing happened."
"Hmm," he started and ran his fingers through her hair. "I understand - but we can't sit in the open like this. My moth-- Adelaide will find us. I am sure she has realized a while ago that we're gone. She's going to be pissed off and looking for us."
'Lanshu, just - give me one second, I know something important is here,' she argued with her fingers.
"Alright, uhm... I don't remember being in this area of the country before. I think it used to be known as Maine a long time ago. I wonder if you lived there?"
Maine....That did sound familiar, but all she could think of was 'purposes', and main concepts - not a place. She shook her head and shrugged.
"It is close to sea, so maybe you at least visited delegates here?" He tossed another idea.
She shook her head and tried to buzz her brain to make it awaken, but of course nothing happened other than more frustration and tears. 'I don't know....'
Ismyrea turned back around and kicked the rod again, this time with much more anger - and that led to a steep consequence as the ground below her shook very briefly, and then went straight down, along with lots of dirt, debris, and gods knew what else.
Luckily, even the in the chaos - Lanshu was there with his strong arms wrapped around her, and now with two large, golden wings with white accents that splayed out over her in protection.
Even with the dim amount of sun that poked through, she could see each scale light up like sun fire, and once the dirt stopped its fall, the light that flooded behind him illuminated him like an angel.
"Isme, are you alright?" He questioned with panic in his face.
She nodded as she blocked out the little bits of dust that still lingered in the air with her hand.
"Holy...shit...Does this look familiar to you?" He wondered airily as he looked around.
It took her a second for her eyes to adjust, but once they did - the site wasn't familiar to her at all, but it sure felt like it was.
He descended slowly with her still in his muscular grasp as his wings kept their speed even until they finally landed in the middle of a very old, and very abandoned shopping mall.
The place looked well preserved for its age. It must have been buried by layers and layers of dust and dirty over the centuries, and based off of the way the lights flickered on at their presence, its magical reactor was still active here.
After he helped her down the slippery slope of earth that easily shifted downwards with their weight.

It died out before more of the message could play.
"Pfft... mythical pets.." Lanshu muttered in disgust.
'I find it creepy it ended on 'ate',' Ismyrea replied at she tried to take in all the sites.
"Well, I don't know how you could know this place, then. This is a human place - are you sure this is the right area?"
'I'm not sure of anything anymore...' she answered and looked up at him sullenly.
He frowned, but agreed with her sentiments. "Yeah. I get that."
After a pause he held his arm out to her to offer it for her to take as he gestured outwards. "Well....shall we have a look around for a bit? There has to be something important here if your gut led you this direction. I'm not counting out the smallest fluke right now."
Ismyrea slid her arms into the large left one he owned and squeezed onto him as they walked down the ancient ruins.
