Chapter 95 Power Grid Problems

Then next morning, John woke up at 8:00 am. John lay there next to Demmy, they were facing each other. John caressed her face and brushed her hair with his hands before he got closer and lay multiple kisses on her lips.

Demmy was gently awoken from her slumber, she wrapped her hands around John's John and pulled him closer, giving him a deep kiss. John rolled onto Demmy, and moans once again resounded throughout the house.

When they finished their workout, they got out of bed. They walked into the bathroom together and got ready for the day. Brushing their teeth and taking a shower together, they then walked into Demmy's room. John put on his suit and Demmy put on some new clothes. Demmy was wearing a cute white blouse with purple aster flowers embroidered on it, she also wore white jeans that fit her curves and some brown leather boots.

They then walked into Demmy's kitchen and started cooking some breakfast and brewing some coffee. John and Demmy sipped their coffee together as they finished cooking. They then walked out to the front porch and sat down out there to eat.

John and Demmy enjoyed themselves as they enjoyed the fresh morning air. When they finished their breakfast, they sat outside for a while longer, but Demmy caught a chill, so they walked back inside. They brought the dishes inside and John washed them while Demmy dried them. They finished in no time, then they walked into the living room.

John sat down in a comfy chair and Demmy placed herself on John's lap. John held her by the waist, and they turned on a romantic movie. John wasn't really into it, but Demmy really liked it. It was the story of a beautiful princess and her pirate lover that are separated but find each other once again, living happily ever after.

When the movie ended, a knock was heard at the door. John and Demmy got up together and opened the door. In front of them was Deanna, she greeted them before, John let her come inside. Demmy went to the kitchen to pour her some coffee.

John asked, "Anything wrong Deanna?"

Deanna answered, "You wouldn't know as your power is still on, but the power grid is having some problem."

John asked, "So, what are we gonna do?"

Deanna said, "We know where we can get the parts to fix it, but the place is overrun. I was coming over to ask if you would go there? Aaron, Eric, Nicholas, and Aiden are going."

John said, "Yeah, I'll go." Demmy walked out of the kitchen and brought a coffee mug to Deanna who took it gracefully. Deanna then stayed until she finished her coffee, talking with John and Demmy about different things. Then she left and walked out the front door.

John kissed Demmy goodbye as he left the house, going back to his house. John walked through the front door and walked up the stairs into his room. He walked in and saw Enid sleeping on his bed. John walked over to the closet and grabbed a red shirt and black pants before he stripped and put them on.

John walked out of the room and went down the stairs. He walked through the front door and walked to the armory. On his way he passed by Jessie's house and saw that she was picking up the sculpture they were working on. It was lying on the floor. John walked into the garage and said, "Hey."

Jess replied, "Hey."

John said, "What happened?"

Jess said, "I don't know, maybe someone doesn't like owls."

John asked, "Someone did this to your sculpture." John crouched down and looked at the sculpture. Jessie sighed.

Jessie said, "Stuff like this never happens here."

John said, "Well, you got any enemies?"

Jess said, "You know anyone who hates owls?" Jess leaned down and picked up a piece, exposing her breasts to John. John and Jess laughed a little.

John said, "You know, last night I saw John and Enid get into an argument. Maybe he took his frustration out on your project. You should ask him about it."

Jess said, "Okay, I will. That does sound like something Ron would do."

John walked in and saw that Demmy was already there, John walked into the armory and grabbed a Glock with a suppressor attached, John also grabbed 2 extra clips and a Velcro holster. John walked out of the armory and kissed Demmy on the cheek, before he walked to the front gate.

Arriving there he saw the Aiden and Aaron packing some stuff into a van. John overheard Aiden talking to his parents. Reg asked, "You got everything?"

Aiden said, "First aid kits, yellow pages. Eric made a check list. We're good, I swear."

Reg said, "I know. I'm just a worrier. That's how that wall wound up around us." Aiden hugged Deanna.

Deanna said, "Love you."

Aiden said, Take care, Dad."

Reg said, "I'm supposed to be saying that to you." Aiden then walked over to the van and hopped in the front seat. John kissed Demmy goodbye before he also walked over to the van and got in the back.

Aiden then started blasting some dubstep as they drove out of the front gate. They did this to draw any walkers nearby away.

They arrived at the warehouse, they got out of the van and Aiden said, "That door should be our fastest way in and out."

John said, "We should know all the exits first, so we have a backup plan in case something unexpected happens."

Nicholas said in his annoying ass voice, "Already got one. It's called going out the front."

John shook his head and shot a walker in the head, not even looking at it. The walker's brains flew out as the walker fell to the ground. Aiden saw this and said, "Alright, let's do a perimeter check first."

John walked off with Aaron and Eric, going in the opposite direction of Aiden and Nicholas. As John and his team were walking next to a truck, a walker came towards them, and Aaron stabbed it in the head with little difficulty. They then continued forward, they eventually arrived in front of a gate that surrounded the front of the warehouse.

Within this fenced in area, there were about 100 walkers moving around, right at the entrance. Seeing this, they walked back to the van, Aiden and Nicholas were waiting there. John said, "The front entrance is a bust. There is a big pack of walkers in there."

Aiden nodded and Nicholas's face scrunched up. They then walked to the door and John opened it, they all had flashlights as the inside was very dark. John didn't need the flashlight, but it was good to keep up appearances.

Inside were huge racks with tons of boxes stacked on each of them. John slammed his hand on the door producing a loud bang when it hit the wall. John said, "Give it another couple seconds. It's a big place. There could be some inside."

Aiden said, "So, let's assume they are. Let's move. Let's be safe." John nodded as he walked to the left and started to look around, the others following behind him. The door closed with a click and the warehouse became even darker. They checked each row of shelves carefully, looking for any walkers.

When they reached the wall, they turned right and as they walked forward, they started to hear some clanking sounds, sounded like something was rattling a fence. They walked forward cautiously, shelves on each side of them. As they reached moved closer and closer to the rattling sound, they started to hear some faint growling.

John stopped them and said, "They're stuck behind something."

Aiden said, "How do you know?"

John said, "Experience, and if they weren't stuck, they would be walking around all over the place. Alright, let's move." John then started to walk forwards for a while longer. They eventually arrived in front of a fence and saw about 10-15 walkers lining up against the fence.

Seeing that the walkers were stuck behind the fence, they spread out and searched for the part they needed. John walked alone while Aiden and Nicholas formed a group, Aaron and Eric formed another group. Walking through one of the center isles, John looked at the labels on each of the boxes.

John walked through the whole isle but didn't find the correct box. John turned down the next isle and began to search some more. John walked halfway through the isle when he found a box that might have the part. John cut the box open and grabbed the part inside, he observed it for a while and saw the same model number on it as the other one.

Aaron and Eric who were in the isle next to John heard a box being cut and walked over. John said to them, "I found them, let's get out of here." Aaron and Eric nodded as they began to walk over to Aiden and Nicholas. Aiden was standing by a rolling door when he heard some noise behind him.

He turned around and saw a walker wearing some military gear walking towards him. John looked over when he heard the suppressed shot being fired. John said, "Wait for it to get closer." Aiden didn't listen as he continued to fire shots at the walker. He shot it in the leg bringing it to the ground, then he continued to shoot at it.
