Chapter 53 Macon

The next morning John woke up when his women, had woken him up. John then walked with them through the halls, and they arrived at the cafeteria. John sat down holding Cassy feeding her a bottle as he ate some eggs. John talked with his women and told them he would go to Macon in a while, he had a friend named Lee there.

The women were upset that John wanted to leave right after his children were born, but John said he wouldn't leave for another 3 weeks. Hearing this the women calmed down and John wiped his brow. His women could be quite scary at times. Don't let Amy's cute face and sweet voice fool you, she could be very vicious.

She was only vicious when she was really upset however, and she could only be so mean to John. She loved John too much to stay mad him for any extended period of time.

While they were eating, John began to think about all the things he has done and he smiled thinking, 'Amy and I have been together for almost a year now. I should get her a gift'

Nodding to himself John was brought out of his musing when Amy turned toward John with a smile. John smiled back and they continued to eat. They then spent time together and talked to different people.

They did this for the next 3 weeks, spending time together. By now Amy and Maggie were almost recovered from giving birth. They were back to feeling normal and they stopped getting cramps. They had all gotten closer as a family and had done many things together. John and Alicia had sex in the shower, so they didn't bother the rest of the group.

John had also given his kids baths, Joey and Cassy loved the water. They would splash around as John was cleaning them. Charlie didn't like to get wet, but he didn't make a fuss about it either. Sarah had also taken baths and was always happy to play with her toys in there.

It was the day John would leave for Macon and his family was a little worried about him. John had to hug and kiss each of them multiple time and Amy didn't want to let go of him, but she did sadly. John seeing that they had tears in their eyes, said, "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I won't be gone for more than a week."

His women nodded as they dried their tears, John then kissed each of them, then he kissed the heads of his children. He got into his mustang and drove out of the prison. Macon was only about 70 miles from the prison, but it would take longer to get there because of the blocked highway.

John stopped when he was 20 miles away, he parked his car and then sent it into Eden, then he summoned a black Kawasaki crotch rocket. He also summoned a Remmington 700 Sniper rifle; it had a suppressor on it and a nice scope. It was a grey urban camo and would match the terrain well. Then he summoned an Ice Pick. This pick had an axe blade on the back of it.

John slung the rifle over his shoulder and put his pick into a sheath on his waist. Then he got on his bike and zoomed down the roads. He was going 90 mph, down winding roads, it was exhilarating. John passed by the walkers super-fast, the walkers barely noticed him. If the bike didn't make any sound, he would be pretty much invisible to them.

John was riding for about 7 hours before he arrived in Macon. John slowed down as he neared the suburbs, continuing for a couple minutes. John looked around and saw the houses that littered the area, he could also see some large building in the distance. That was the city, John could barely see it above the houses, he was still in the outskirts of Macon.

John rode for a couple minutes longer before he stopped and stored his bike into Eden, John then continued to move through the suburbs on foot. A walker came out of a building as John was passing by, John pulled out his pick and swung hard. The sharp blade dug into the walker's head and killed it. John then pulled it out as he continued to walk down the road.

John walked for a while killing any walker that got too close to him and eventually the road was blocked off by a flipped over bus. John jump and used his pick to get a hold of the edge, he then climbed up, getting on top of it. Looking over at the other side, John saw a pack of walkers. John jumped down taking a walker down instantly. John then stood up as the rest of the walkers came over.

John walked to the closest one and swung down, killing it before he kicked its chest, throwing it to the floor. John then used the axe side of his pick and chopped a walkers head off. By then a walker had crept up to John, John seeing this kicked it in the chest, pushing it back before he threw his pick at a walker further back, hitting it in the head. John then ran over ti the downed walker and stomped on its head killing it.

With the walkers now dead, John walker over to his pick and grabbed it, before he began walking down the road once again. John walked down the road for a while before he was in front of a pharmacy. The pharmacy was called Everett's Pharmacy, the sign was hanging down some and only one side was connected to the building. The glass windows of the front of the building had been broken and some dead walkers were on the broken glass, their guts were falling out as they had cut their stomach.

John walked over to the building and jumped through the window, avoiding the glass. In the pharmacy, John saw that it was empty of any possible food or supplies. There was some medicine behind a reinforced glass pain, but John left it alone. John walked through the pharmacy and only killed one walker that was on the floor, its legs had been eaten so much that it couldn't up.

John walked through and found a back room that had a bed inside, but there was blood on it and the room was really dusty. Clearly no one had been here for a long time. The place had been overrun. Seeing the place was empty, John walked out of the room and walked out the back entrance.

Looking at the road in front of him, John saw some faded tire marks. John then followed the direction of the markings, John started to run after a while swinging at any walker that came close to him. John ended up at a Motel, the Motel had been fortified but the place was now burned down, and the wall had been broken in multiple places.

John observed the wall and saw bullet holes on it. John walked in slowly and crouched down, moving through the base, John saw some walkers moving about. John pulled out his Glock and shot them in the head. John then looked around, he couldn't see much because it was late in the evening, but the Motel sign was on. This gave the area some faint illumination, John looked around and saw that the place had been ransacked there was not much stuff left behind, but John saw a coloring book and some crayons in one of the rooms.

John took them and put them in his bag. John seeing that night was almost upon him, summoned some night vision contacts. These contacts allowed him to see normally even in the dark. John walked out of the base and moved almost completely silent. John walked over to a vehicle that had been abandoned.

John looked behind it and saw some muddy tire tracks, seeing this John decided to follow them. John walked down the road for a couple miles, before he saw a dirt road that was quite muddy. The car from before had definitely come from here, John then walked down the dirt road, he stayed close to the trees, ready to find cover from and bullets or possibly arrows.

John walked down the road for about 20 minutes before he saw a farmhouse. John saw a gate and the whole farm was surrounded by a wire fence. Seeing the dead walkers near the fence, John walked over to them and immediately smelled burnt flesh. Looking at the fence John knew it had to be electrified, but the walkers had been there for a while, so it might not be electrified right now. John knew that some had to have been here, a while ago at least because this was definitely someone's base.
