Marriage (2)

"Hah... so this is the place you've chosen?" Ambrosia remarked, her gaze sweeping over the beautiful landscape that spread out before them.

"You have good taste."

Unable to ignore the beauty of the scene below, she nodded in agreement.

Not even in her hundreds of years did she find a location as magnificent as this one.

They were looking down at the tranquil scene from the top of a small mountain.

A stunning waterfall with crystal-clear waters glistening in the sunlight tumbled down the rugged cliffs.

The waterfall was surrounded by rich, green fields that were dotted with colorful dandelions that gave the scene pops of color.

Ambrosia's pale face was caressed by a gentle breeze that carried the sweet scent of blossoming flowers.

The sound of the cascading waterfall was mellowed by the whispers of leaves rustling in the tall trees nearby.

Ambrosia took in the natural beauty all around them and couldn't help but feel a wave of tranquility wash over her.

'Of course I have good taste. Although we visited many places together, this was always your favorite.' Luk thought, a hint of nostalgia crossing his mind.

"What now?" Ambrosia turned to Luk, her crimson eyes locking onto his.

'Mhm... normally, you'd want to rape me... ahem. However, it shouldn't be a problem conquering you once again...'

"Let's sit down for a while." Luk replied as he sat down on the comfy green grass.

Ambrosia raised her eyebrows at his request but complied nonetheless.

They spent about ten minutes sitting in companionable silence, gazing out at the breathtaking landscape before them

Surprisingly, her boredom was killed by simply looking at the landscape in front of her; maybe it even turned into a hobby

"Ambrosia... how do you feel about spending your life alone? Did you ever feel the need to find someone 'dear' to you?" Luk suddenly asked, breaking the silence.

Hearing his words, Ambrosia's gaze remained fixed on the landscape as she began to express her thoughts.

"Many times. But I couldn't simply find someone who loved me, and whom I also loved in return. Almost everyone within this damned place is afraid of me, except for a handful of individuals," Ambrosia replied with a wistful smile.

"So, I thought it was an impossible goal," she continued, her voice tinged with resignation.

"Besides, I even lowered my standards, as long as we both love each other, that should be more than enough."

"Growing old grants you many things, and one of them is that 'true love' feels like a miracle or fairy tale for us... It seems like a natural occurrence for you humans, but for our kind, it's nothing more than a fantasy," Ambrosia sighed, her hand clenching the air as she spoke.

"Huh? Then, how usually do vampires get married?" Luk made a confused face.

"Ah... it's mostly for the benefits of getting stronger. They typically marry for strategic reasons, to gain advantages from each other. Their physical relations are just for that purpose. One interesting fact... vampires can't feel 'pleasure' during sex unless it's with someone they truly love. So, if it's with someone they're not emotionally connected to, they won't feel anything, regardless of gender." Ambrosia explained.

'Oh... I didn't actually know that... weird. No wonder Ambrosia was so obsessively obsessed with me.'

'After all, when she had 'relations' with me, experiencing that intense pleasure must have made her feel like she was in heaven.'

"Hah... I envy humans..." Ambrosia sighed, her expression wistful.

Touch...

However, her thoughts were interrupted as Luk gently grasped her chin and locked eyes with her.

"There's no need to worry about that. I did promise to marry you, and within these last two hours, I'll make sure you agree to it."

His solemn expression caused Ambrosia's eyes to widen, and along with it came a glimmer of hope that intensified her curiosity about what they would be doing for the next two hours.

But as Luk saw that expression from Ambrosia, he smiled inwardly. He already knew what he was going to do.

Under Luk's guidance, the two of them went on a date filled with exhilarating experiences.

After their previous conversation, Luk led Ambrosia to a 'special tavern,' where he introduced her to a variety of drinks.

Ambrosia eagerly sampled each one, even paying for their drinks with a real golden coin.

Next, Luk took her to an arcade, where Ambrosia, despite losing almost every game, found herself thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Her laughter echoed through the arcade, and her smile was radiant and infectious.

As they walked back to the Bloodmoon Eternal Castle, they continued to talk and laugh; however, Luk could see that Ambrosia was a bit down.

Until they finally arrived at the castle's gates...

The three-hour mark had been hit.

"We're here."

Upon hearing him, Ambrosia's lips curled into a faint smile.

"Looks like you've lost." She remarked, tucking a few loose strands of hair behind her ear.

Luk remained silent.

"Could you... close your eyes for a moment?" He asked hesitantly.

Ambrosia chuckled, her laughter echoing through the still air.

"Sure, but what's the surprise? Proposing, perhaps? Pfff..." she teased, continuing to laugh.

But, when she realized Luk wasn't responding, she obediently closed her eyes while sighing faintly.

Taking a deep breath, Luk kneeled down on one knee and carefully brought out the Amber Heartstone from his pocket.

"You can open your eyes now," he said softly.

At that moment, Ambrosia slowly opened her eyes...

Before her, Luk knelt on one knee, holding out a stunning amber-colored gemstone.

His jet-black hair danced in the gentle breeze, framing his face as a faint smile played on his lips.

His narrowed eyes gave him a charming allure.

"Ambrosia C. Alastair, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

Thump!

Upon hearing him, Ambrosia felt as if her heart had been pierced by a Cupid's arrow.

Her hair swayed as her heart raced uncontrollably, causing her legs to tremble involuntarily.

'I... I actually... fell in love...?' Ambrosia exclaimed inwardly, her mind reeling from the past three hours, which had been filled with joy and excitement.

She had explored the human world, indulged in its delicacies, played unfamiliar games, and discovered the most beautiful landscape she had ever seen.

And all of that... was thanks to Luk.

A human who entered her castle and proposed marriage the moment he saw her.

"I-I..." Her lips trembled as she tried to respond, but the overwhelming emotions left her speechless.

She ended up clutching the hem of her dress, unable to articulate her feelings.

"Fuck..." Ambrosia murmured under her breath.

Swish!

Without hesitation, she threw herself into Luk's arms, tears welling up in her eyes and streaming down her cheeks.

"I... I agree, I completely agree! I'll be your wife!"

Rumble...

The atmosphere seemed to shift as Ambrosia spoke, her castle transforming from dark and foreboding to bright and inviting.

The dark clouds disappeared revealing a beautiful blue sky, while the gates swung open, and the musty scent of old books gave way to a sweet, comforting aroma.

With a content smile, Luk gently pushed Ambrosia back and, using his mana, transformed the Amber Heartstone into a beautiful ring.

He slid the ring onto her left hand, onto her ring finger.

"I love you, Ambrosia C. Alastair." Luk whispered, caressing her cheek with a faint yet charming smile.

Ambrosia smiled softly, her heart overflowing with love, as she replied.

"I love you too!!!"

With that, she pushed his hand away and threw herself into Luk's arms, both of them tumbling onto the lush grass beneath the castle.

Chuu~❤❤❤!!!

Before anyone asks, Ambrosia was under the eclipse's effects (although not described ahem!), so the difficulty of conquering her was like from hell difficulty to normal difficulty, besides, she's hundreds of years old, and deep in her heart, she wanted a lover, and being that long time alone made it easier for Luk to enter her heart.
