Meanwhile, Meredia and Lisa sprinted through the palace halls, their eyes darting around in search of the escaped fox. Just as they turned a corner, they saw the Duke approaching from the front, his expression stoic as always.

But it was too late. The Duke's sharp eyes had already caught sight of the fox with its eye-blinding wings, fluttering wildly as it ran around like it was in a race.
Before Meredia or Lisa could do anything, the fox tried to make a leap but stumbled awkwardly, bumping straight into the Duke's chest. With a soft thud, it fell to the floor and fainted again, its little wings twitching slightly.
