I gingerly approached the base of the waterfall, the cold mist swirling around me. As I reached out to touch the water, a jolt of icy shock raced through me, I yelped and quickly withdrew my hand, turning to Kairan with a dramatic flair.
"Are you out of your mind?" I exclaimed. "What kind of training is this? I don't want to freeze to death! I'm not going in there!"
Kairan, with an unsettling calmness, put his hands in his pockets and regarded me with nonchalant expression. "Very well. You don't have a choice anymore, Lady."
He strode toward me with a purpose that made my heart race.
Oh great, this is how I die, isn't it? I'm going to be frozen in place like an overgrown ice cube.
"Either you go under the waterfall yourself, or I'II take you there myself."
My eyes widened in panic. "No, no, Your Highness! Please, not like this!" I begged, taking a step backward.
