In the book, Wife Please Stay With Me, Katerina was the definition of an evil stepmother. When she married the villain's father, she treated the male lead somewhat nicely. However, once she found out she was pregnant, she felt as if the villain , who was extremely gifted, was going to take everything away from her child.

Therefore, she brainwashed the villain's father into thinking the villain hated his little brother. Every time something bad happened, the villain would be blamed. Making the villain move away from home when he was merely fifteen.

However, that wasn't all she did. Once the Villain's father passed away, he left her and her son a large sum of money. Enough money for them not to work a day in their lives. However, he left most of the company's shares under the male lead's name. Katerina, wasn't satisfied with that and took the villain to court to take every penny he had.

When that didn't work, she hired someone to assassinate the villain. Making him lose his memory in the process.

Fortunately, he recovered his memories thanks to his mother who felt guilty about abandoning him.

Unfortunately, thanks to his rough childhood he had become someone cold and indifferent.

The only time he showed emotion was when he was with the female lead, who by the way was, the wife of his half brother- the male lead.

The book was full of fluff and mean characters. But in terms of viciousness, Katerina had no rivals.

Katerina grabbed the pillow behind her, and slowly sunk her nails into it. She didn't cause any damage to the soft material, but she still continue to grip the pillow tightly until wrinkles appeared on it.

His voice that was low and seductive interrupted her thoughts. She couldn't help but want to hear more from him.

Jace stayed silent as she looked at him with a dumb expression. Her eyes shined bright as she stared at him with admiration. Her lower lip was being mercilessly bitten by her, as if she was trying stop herself from eating something delicious.

He approached her with a gentle look and slow paced steps. She looked up at him with curiosity as she saw him extending his right hand towards her mouth.

"Stop biting your lips. That's a very bad habit, okay?"

Being gifted with his beautiful voice again, Katerina took in a sharp breath as she tried to contain her excitement.

"Okay," she said trying to control her happiness.

Jace softly laughed at her expression. "Good. I will go to the company now. My day is going to be busy, so don't wait up for me. Gray has lessons today, but he's getting out early. I want you to spend more time with him. Is that okay?"

His voice was extremely seductive. It was like honey. Sweet and mellow, yet low and authoritative. Katerina couldn't resist his every word, "it's okay."

"Good, I'll tell the driver to take you with him when he picks him up." Jace stroked her head and push her hair out of her face as he got up and started getting dressed. "There's still time before he goes to school. You should have breakfast with him."

As Jace walked away from the bedroom and into the walk in closet, he noticed a figure approaching him.

Katerina left the bed extremely quickly, while covering herself with a blanket. She hid away her elf like figure and approach him rapidly to hug his waist.

Jace noticed her coming and quickly turn around, making Katerina crash against him. "What are you doing?"

Katerina felt her nose hurting, but something else bother her. Last night was my wedding night, but I didn't get to enjoy him?

Her hands roamed his waist and went up to his back. Joy you were very cruel. You could've sent me while we did it, but your cruel nature stopped me from enjoying him.

Katerina buried her face in his chest, but was stopped. Jace's index finger pushed against her forehead. "Are you sick?"

Katerina looked at him and noticed his shirt was half button up. She pushed away his hand, and started buttoning up the rest of his shirt.

"At what time are you coming back?"

Jace smiled at the sight of her helping him. Her soft and serving nature naturally satisfied his ego. "10 or 11, you shouldn't wait up."

Katerina finished buttoning up his shirt. She looked around the closet for a tie. Jace noticed her expression and pointed to one of the cabinets next to the wall.

Katerina walked up and carefully chose a dark blue tie to make his eyes stand out. "Text me when you start having dinner," she said walking up to him.

Although Katerina was tall, she couldn't reach up to him. She stood on her tippie toes and placed the tie around his neck as she skillfully tied it.

Jace looked at her soft expression and felt momentarily happy. This is how a wife should be. Not hiding away from you or looking at you as if looking at a monster.

He bowed down his head and placed a kiss on her forehead. Katerina looked up at him with her big round eyes, "you're cruel!"

"..." Guess I shouldn't have expected much. I'll just resign myself to the fact that I don't have luck with women.

"Why can't you kiss me on the mouth. My morning breath isn't that bad, I've seen worse." Katerina looked up at him a reproachful look, as if telling him to go on and kiss her well.

Katerina released her lower lip from it's suffering and still waited for her kiss. Despite being a total stranger to this man, she couldn't deny how beautiful he was.

His skin didn't have a single pore, his lashes were long and those blue eyes pulled her in. She was the kind of person that was down for anything as long as the person was beautiful enough.

She was even fine with being kidnapped if her kidnapper was a beauty who fed her and treated her as a goddess. Katerina had issues.

Jace bowed down his head and grabbed her waist to get her close to him.
