Prologue

This world is full of humans and non-humans, many humans do not typically possess magical abilities, if one does then they are counted as part of the nobility. Wars are often fought over the topic of magic, the most famous of which is known in human history as "The Lovers' Quarrel", the conflict where humans supposedly fought to exterminate the great evil that is monsters. But as you know, history is written by the victors. Humans themselves are the vile creatures.

Keep that in mind as I ask you these questions.

Have you ever seen your father slaughtered by someone you trusted?

Have you ever had your pregnant sister cry for help as she's taken away from you?

Have you ever wanted to kill a member of your family you once thought was loyal?

My name is Mabiana Forte Carcilia, a fallen Princess. This is my story. The people call me "Champion", the gods call me "Vassal of Light." But alas, I am neither of those things.
