Chapter 38:
*Beth’s POV*
My boys looked good tonight. They were dressed in black suits and looked sleek and sexy. I had difficulty focusing on the conversations around me with how good they looked—so much so that I could barely eat my fish dinner.
We were invited to attend a charity dinner in a month. At my suggestion, everyone changed clothes in advance to determine whether they would fit. I wore a peach-colored dress and nude high heels Rylan had picked out for me. I did a simple make-up look and put my golden brown hair in a fancy updo. All three of their eyes almost popped out of their heads when I walked down the stairs.
The charity dinner was being put on by Owen, the philosophist I met on the plane ride to New York. It was to raise money to help the homeless epidemic in New York. The three boys and I were invited to attend. This was a silent auction, and people would write down bids on items around the room.
