"You do things that no one made me feel," he said against her skin, as he grazed his hot breath in the plane of her neck.

"I wish to go all the way. But… I know I have to win your consent," he groaned as he said.

"As if you have my consent for this kiss," she said still panting heavily.

"Yeah, the kiss which you loved and didn't deny, right?" he asked as he raised his head and looked at her with a handsome smirk that made her heart skip a bit. She couldn't be any redder than now with his words.

She might have liked it. But he shouldn't expose her like that! hmph!

Shaking her head, she looked aside as she tried to escape his question.

"Wifey, don't worry, I will make you fall for me all over again. When that happens, I will have you everywhere despite your struggles and pleas. In the end, you will be wanting more and more from me," he whispered in her ears sensually that making her stop breathing.

Adira glared at him fiercely which only made him chuckle at her.

"We need to meet everyone at the dining table," he said as he got from her.

"Do you want to have food there or here?" he asked her.

"Anywhere is fine," she said as she got up from her seat. He leaned towards her and whispered in her ears.

"Fine. We will have food here, with you in my lap, in my arms. I like your arrangement, wifey," he whispered. When he saw her shocked face he through a wink that made her heart twist with an unknown feeling.

"We w-will have breakfast with the family. I will go take a bath," she said trying to run away.

"Do you want me to join you?" he asked as he stopped her from standing up.

"What?" she asked cluelessly. Adira was surprised at her flirting husband. He was the same as the first time she met him.

"Do you want me to join you?" he repeated as he traced his cold, long fingers on her face.

"Where?" she asked with a frown as she slapped his hand.

"The bath," he said with a smirk that stole her another heartbeat.

"Shut up. Now let me go," she said as she tried to remove his hands from her.

"Hey, I love you, wifey. You can't get rid of me. And I would never let you go," he said sincerely looking at her lotus-petaled eyes that made him want to kiss her eyes. '

Unknowingly he moved forward and kissed her eyes lightly. Before she could realize it, he moved away from her.

"Why are you in a daze? Do you want me to join?" he asked wriggling his brows at her.

She blushed and ran away into the bathroom with a thumping heart. The kiss, his words, and sweet whisperings did something with her. But she told herself that it can be another trap by him. Shaking off his thoughts she continued to wash up.

After she was done, she stepped outside. Chelsea and other maids helped her with her hair and dressing up. By the time she was done, Zaros was already at her doorstep to accompany her to the dining table.

Even though it was new, she said nothing and followed him. He was acting like a true gentleman now. She was in a dilemma about which attitude of him was true. Everyone gathered around the table by the time she reached. Both her brother and sister-in-law weren't present at the table yet.

Just then she saw her brother dressed all for the court meeting joining them without his wife making Adira guilty.

She could see the clear disappointment on his face when he saw that his wife wasn't there.

"Eat," Zaros said to her. She nodded her head and ate very little and was about to get up. But Zaros held her hand again and made her sit beside him. He served all the food on her plate and warned her to finish it.

"This is too much for me. I cannot finish this," she complained.

"This is so little, okay? Sit down and finish," he commanded.

"Don't scare her, Zaros," Eudora said coming in support of Adira.

"She is skipping her meals from time to time. I noticed that. She is not this skinny when we first met," he said as he pinched her cheeks as if trying to prove his point to her and everyone present there.

"Eudora, you should let him take care of his wife. Elders shouldn't meddle with children's affairs," Serene came to her son-in-law's rescue.

"Mom, you agree with me right?" he asked with a naughty grin.

"Absolutely," Serene said with a smile.

"Since that's the case, I have to take care of my wife well," he said with his still ever-lasting grin.

"Now, My little lotus bud, start eating," he said to her in a stern voice making her unable to say a word in protest.

"Little lotus bud?" Eudora asked.

"Yeah, Queen Mother," he replied.

"Why?" she asked.

Adira blushed at their conversation. She was so embarrassed by being asked that question. From the time, he woke up after he fall sick, he started calling her by that name. She can't deny that she liked it but again she couldn't bring herself from accepting that loud.
