Zaros was getting restless as days passed. Every day was turning agonizing to him. He got word that his sister 'Victoria' was alive and one of his spies in the werewolf kingdom identified her in the whore house. Yet it's been three days, and no news was found on her.

His men literally searched the whole kingdom for her. They even left the protocol of hiding themselves as Vampire spies. Yet there was no news.

What if she was taken away by the ones who killed her?

What if she was in danger again?

What if something bad has happened to her?

What if she was sold to some rich brat and tortured?

What if she was trying to reach them by coming here but wasn't successful?

There were so many what if's and things that made him feel restless. Unfortunately, every possibility made him think negatively.

He wanted to know if she was safe. The worst was… he wants to find her alive. Zaros wants to know about her if possible see her. Call him paranoid and weird. He has a feeling that his sister was around this palace. But where?

He just wants to know his sibling was safe and sound. Being a Vampire was something to be unfortunate. They were separated from their biological parent. And were gifted with a new set of family. They were supposed to get together and live longer.

Live longer! And watch the people they love die.

They have to get rid of the feelings in order not to get busted with feelings, regrets, and memories. They have to carry the emotions just like any other person but -as dead beings.

They can't even mourn for the person they love when they were dead. Because it was deemed to be weak. As a vampire, they were someone who won against nature. And made their existence powerful. They were someone who won against nature. As superior beings, they were not supposed to be weak.

Zaros wished he could turn into a human or some other creature where he was alive.

He wanted to be a person who can cry.

He wanted to be a person who can protect the people whom he loved.

He wanted to be the person whom he wants to be!

Why can't that happen?

Why was it a crime to live like the person you want?

Zaros was so frustrated.

His men were deemed to be useless for this job. He will directly ask Maximus's help then. Only Maximus can help him. If he helped them then the pact and things would not turn bad even if the pact turns void. This favor would be remembered for years and make them indebted. This way no one would dare to create conflicts between two races.

"Ask them to lay low. And stop investigating things. Clear the mess too," Zaros said to his advisor.

He nodded and left.

Zaros couldn't delay things. They will be leaving after three days of crowning.

Time is ticking.

Zaros walked towards the temporary study he was given with. He went there and started reading a book. It's a book about a general and a princess. The princess was forced to marry the army general of the enemy kingdom to bring peace between the two kingdoms.

Zaros started reading it continuously without a break. After all, it was similar to his life.

He realized that he should do some things that need to be implemented to make his wife fall for him.

Zaros decided to remove the word shame from his dictionary in front of his wife.

Only by being shameless, he can win his wife. If shame was a barrier to him from winning his wife back, then he would get rid of it.

He also took notice that… he should serve her all the time. Be extra cautious with her.

He needs to take care of her like a well-maintained lady. He shouldn't be jealous of men who approach her.

Zaros would personally cut the throats of men who approaches her. This wouldn't be a problem.

After noting down a few points, he picked up another book. It's a story of a warrior and his wife. They both were married and loved each other. But because of his constant battles and his responsibility to save people, there were cracks in the relationship. It went to the point of divorce. From then, the Army General pays attention to her.

Even though they were married, they never consummated due to a long war. When they were about to consummate the marriage an emergency came that the general has to leave immediately. The Lady was heartbroken too much at that time.

That was the second time. She stooped too low to serve her husband but he can't even spend an hour's time with her.

After fifteen days when he returned he was given divorce papers by his wife. She did many things to make him give divorce to her. But nothing worked. He faked this thing and that thing delayed things that can lead them to divorce.

After their divorce was about to be done, he finally made her fall in with him. There were a few twists and plots in the story that made the story interesting. When he was done, he felt good too for having spent some quality time on books.
