251. Softness In His Gaze
Mauve tried to keep a straight face as Jael watched her but it was pretty hard when he was staring at her like that. His eyes trailed her body with reckless abandon, he didn't even try to hide how much he was ogling her.
However, she couldn't deny that was a softness in his gaze, it didn't feel only sensual. Still, it didn't make it bearable.
She kept her gaze down, feeling her cheeks burn. She wasn't just embarrassed but felt a bit self-conscious. She glanced at the scars on her shoulders and quickly looked away.
The corners of the room were dark and even though candles were placed in strategic places in the room. It still wasn't enough to brighten up the huge space.
Soon enough Mill helped her out of the water and dried her up. The vampire moved quickly and in less than ten minutes she was dressed. They had decided on the dress before the bath.
