CHAPTER 38

SHRANAIA’S POV

I don’t know what to do anymore, and honestly, I want to stop what is happening to me now. Everything is getting worse and worse, and I know it won’t be good for me if this continues. I looked at who was calling my name and couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

“Shranaia, that’s enough!” Vixen shouted, but I don’t know why I can’t make listen to him.

Fergus attacked me, and Vixen immediately went to me, and he was the one that attacked Fergus. I grinned at Fergus, but my furious eyes were glaring back at me. At the time, he effortlessly threw Vixen, then choked me by the neck. I just smirked at him, then glanced away, then kicked him hard, which caused his eyes to widen.

“The lycans are here!” as Rara shouted, I turned around, grinned, and walked rapidly.

In that case, they are not just a few because they are so many. I didn’t think that I was that strong or that I was that good for so many people to catch me. Honestly, I don’t like the chaotic environment, and I don’t want everyone to be bloody just because of me. I keep hearing a strange voice that I don’t know where it’s coming from, and I don’t know what’s happening or why I’m hearing it.

“Shranaia.”

This time I stopped when I saw that girl I saw before in the library again. She looked into my eyes, then held my face and smiled at me. At that time, my body system seemed to calm down, and it was as if my entire body system had become calm. When I felt the length of my fangs disappear, as well as the strange growth of my back wing, I quickly changed form into a wolf and quickly flew out of there.

I know the lycans have a strong scent, and I know they can quickly follow me. With their strength, I can’t handle them, and I know that they are here because of me. If I’m not mistaken, they are those creatures that have the ability to be hybrids but are different from the situation I have. When I felt tired, I suddenly fell down and lost consciousness. I don’t even know what happened next.

-

I awoke to the scent of a fragrant flower and glanced around. The surroundings are lovely, and there are several flowers and plants. I gasped as a woman appeared out of nowhere, and I was stunned by her stunning beauty, which no one could match. She handed me the meal and then smiled, caressed my cheek, and patted my head. I’m at a loss for words, and I’m not sure how I got here.

“Who are you?” I ask, curious.

“I am happy to see you again, Shranaia,” she said, smiley.

“What am I doing here? Who are you?”

“Don’t you remember me?” she asked, making me frown.

“No, but I seem to know your voice,” I said while wondering where I heard her. “I can’t be wrong when I hear your voice. Even though my eyes are closed, I can still smell who you are,” I said, then she smiled sweetly and nodded at me.

“I’m happy to know that you remembered me,” she said, then I hugged her. “I know a lot has happened to you right now, and I know you have a lot of questions for yourself.”

I broke my hug from her, then, as I looked into her eyes, I couldn’t help but be fascinated by her. She held my hand, then smiled and took a deep breath. “I’m happy to see you becoming stronger through all the trials you are facing, but please let your feelings flow and don't let the anger in your heart grow, Shranaia,” she said, then I burst into tears.

I don’t like what’s happening either, because I don’t want the blood to spill around. Another thing is that I don’t know why I can’t seem to control myself when I smell blood. She calmed me down, then told me to eat the food she served. She left me alone to think because of what happened earlier.

While I was alone and just looking at the beauty of the whole environment, I remembered the girl I saw earlier. I just sighed, then looked at both of my hands and wondered what my parents’ secret was. The thing that still bothers me is how I have a characteristic that vampires have. Maybe that's why Daecon wanted me.

I suddenly remembered about vampires and hybrids. I don’t know why I feel like I have something to do with them or that there are things I should know and learn more about. As I walked through the beautiful palace, I couldn’t help but smile, especially because the people here were beautiful and handsome.

“What is a hybrid doing in our place?” I turned to the person who spoke, then I smiled.

“I’m sorry. I don’t know how I ended up here. May I know who you are?” I asked the two women in front of me.

“I’m Hana, and she’s Kana,” they both introduced themselves.

“I’m Shranaia,” I introduced myself.

I was about to shake their hands when suddenly someone came. “Queen.” The twins said, bowing, and then I smiled at what they call her.

“So you’re a queen?” I said while smiling.

“I’m Madara,” she introduced herself.

I didn’t think it was as beautiful as her name. Her name was never mentioned to me, “Your name is as beautiful as you,” I said.

“Come, and I will show you something before you leave, Shranaia,” she said, and I followed her.

I went with her, and while walking, I couldn’t help but feel nervous. When we got to a garden where there was a figure of a girl that I was sure I had seen before. While I was looking at it, I grabbed my left chest, then I closed my eyes tightly when I felt pain.

While looking at it, I couldn’t help but feel even more uneasy and held my head. Even though I never remember feeling like this, I just felt like this now. “What is happening to me?” I wondered, then I looked at her.

“Your consciousness is given meaning when you regain the memory you lost a long time ago, Shranaia,” she said, and I frowned.

“What do you mean?”

I was so excited that I fell to my knees on the ground while stopping myself from falling. “What you feel is the indication that gives meaning to your ability and hidden power,” she said to me, which made me even more afraid.

I don’t understand anything else about her, and I don’t feel anything other than a pain in my chest. As I felt that, my vision gradually dimmed until she disappeared from my sight. I woke up to the sound of Gena and Rara’s mouths. When I opened my eyes, I saw Vixen’s face, which was very close to me.

“What are you doing?” I inquired, and he rubbed his brow.

“Are you checking you out?” he responded, making me cringe.

“Are you going to go, or do you want to get tossed out?” I warned him, and he instantly departed.

Because of what had transpired, I stopped speaking and clutched my head. I couldn’t tell if it was a dream or reality. I sat down, then examined my hand and myself in the mirror. “Madara…” I mentioned her name.

“Shranaia, are you all right?” Gena asked me, then I looked at her.

“I’m fine, don’t worry,” I replied, then she smiled at me and handed me the tea.

They told me what happened, and they also told me about the Lycans and why they were there. “They say they are looking for a strange someone that comes from where we are. That’s the legendary werewolf that got loose and escaped a long time ago,” she explained to me, and I nodded.

“Legendary?” I said.

“What’s going on?” Rara said. “You suddenly disappeared, then suddenly you got wings when—” Rara couldn’t finish what she was going to say when Gena suddenly covered her mouth.

“Can you skip that part, Rara? That’s not important!” Gena said.

Actually, it’s funny that they are both willing to risk their lives just for me. “Don’t you know what can happen to you when you don’t escape from them, It’s probably because they mistook you. But when we chased you, they suddenly deviated from the path and said they had seen Rudina,” Rara said to him.

To be honest, I am confused about what is happening and what they mean by it. But what they say Rudina is to know is that girl I saw. At first, I thought it was Madara, but it wasn’t. I think that Vixen is not telling me something; that’s why she is calling me a wolf. I looked at him, and he also looked at me and seemed to be asking me what I was looking at.

“Could you please leave us both alone?” I asked, then Rara and Gena nodded and left the room. “Tell me the truth. Do you know anything about what my parents are hiding from me? About my ability and what might happen when I lose control of myself?” I said seriously, then he sighed.

It took a long for him to speak, and I’m not sure if I should know the truth or simply remain silent. He took some tea and sipped it as I waited for him to start, and to be honest, I was apprehensive about what he would say. Despite the fact that I never heard any words from my parents other than them reminding me to remember the Valley Pack people, which is why we are strong and stable when Daddy disappeared, he was also the reason why I became the way I am now. Especially after the death of my mother.

“If you want to know the truth, you must be prepared for the possible consequences,” he said.

“I’m ready for whatever it is,” I answered.

“But with the simple things that are happening right now, it seems like you can't do it anymore,” he said, making me look at him.

I grabbed the glass of tea I was holding, then I bit my lip. “I know what I’m doing, Vixen.”

“But you can’t control yourself, Shranaia.”

“What are you going to say?” I said, annoyed.

“All I want to say is that you need to think before you act stupidly,” he said seriously, then I put down the glass of tea.

“I have many questions for myself, and I know you know something about what is happening to me now, Vixen. What you and Daddy talked about before is what makes my mind even more confused, so I know you know something about the strange feeling I feel when I smell blood,” I said, then he looked at me and came closer.

“I have nothing else to say as long as you don’t stop doing what you want to do.”

“I can’t bear to see and watch the Valley Pack people suffer.”

He didn’t say anything other than that, and suddenly he turned his back on me. I don’t see anything other than their serious face, which also gives me the feeling that I don’t know if I should have understood it or not. When Vixen came out, I just looked at the tea on the table, then I sighed. I just drank it and didn’t think of anything to relax myself.

“Rudina.”

I suddenly turned around when I heard a woman’s voice, then I looked around, and I couldn’t see anyone but myself. “Who’s there?” I asked in shock, almost whispering.

“What are you doing?” she asked, and I turned around again.

“Who are you?”

“Rudina!” she shouted, which surprised me, and at that moment I saw myself smiling with red eyes and an evil look.

I don’t know what’s happening to me or why I see myself in the mirror in that situation. I covered my face, and I could feel the speed of my heart beating, and I knew I wasn’t going to feel good.

“Don’t you want to see me, Shranaia?” she asked me with a deep voice.
