CHAPTER 32

RON’S POV

I couldn’t stop thinking about Jenny as I walked. I can’t help but miss her, especially now that she has a chance. Nonetheless, I know that this is the only thing that will help her. I sighed when I came to a halt in front of my cabin and gazed at the moon.

“Are you thinking too deeply?” I asked myself as I turned around.

“What are you doing here?” I wondered.

“I’m just thinking that we have a similar situation, but I just want to ask you something,” she remarked as she sat next to me.

“What?”

“How does it feel to fall in love?” she inquired as I turned to face her. I'm not close to Gena, and I’m not sure why she asked this, but I may be thinking about it wrong. “Whatever you’re thinking... you’re correct,” she said.

I didn’t respond to what she said since I didn’t expect her to enjoy a mortal like Jenny. I didn’t respond to what she said and stayed silent, while she gazed at the moon. I honestly don’t know how we got into this situation.

It’s amusing to imagine that those siblings will offer me a cause to adore like this. I considered what she said, glanced at her, and then spoke. “Wait... am I thinking correctly? Does this imply that Eliot is intended for you?” I was perplexed.

“No,” she said.

“What exactly do you mean?”

“I adore Eliot.”

“You like Eliot? Why? Does that mean you haven't seen your destiny yet?” I inquired, and she turned to face me.

“What are you talking about?” she inquired.

“Teaching that thing, it’s impossible for you not to know,” I stated solemnly, and she turned to face me. I noticed her astonishment, and I think she was unaware of the situation. I merely winced and moved closer to her. “That thing is being taught, and I know you’ll know when the time comes, but you’ll know about it when you look into the eyes of what’s meant for you,” I explained.

I believe he understood what I was saying. He simply nodded to me before standing up and departing for his cabin. He waved to me before leaving, and when he was gone, I held my breath. I got up and walked inside my cabin, where I decided to rest.

I got up early the next day to prepare for school. There is nothing to do right now, but something will happen later to enable the kids to compete. When I arrived at school, I spotted Ran, who was following Rara, and Vixen didn’t appear to be in the mood. I approached Ran, greeted him, and asked what had happened to Vixen.

“Shranaia has gone missing. She was gone this morning, and he’s going insane to find her,” he replied, whispering.

“Can you tell me what happened?”

“I don’t even know, he just woke us up,” Rara answered.

“Hey, guys!!!” We turned to face who had just arrived.

“Gena.”

“What’s going on?” she questioned abruptly, looking at Vixen and then back at me.

“Do you know where Shranaia is?” I inquired, and she shook his head.

“No. We last met when we delivered the siblings,” she said.

“Damn it!” Vixen grumbled, and we both turned to face him.

When Vixen stated that, we immediately took action. I’m not sure what happened to them, but I think they were alright last night. The main mystery is where Shranaia is. I went to its cabin and looked through all of its belongings. Except for one thing that I noticed on the floor, all of the stuff seems complete. I grimaced and sat down to take it.

I instantly rose up and rushed outside to show Vixen what I had seen. He stared at me, then swiftly proceeded to Shranaia’s cabin, looking for anything else that might be seen or signs that could lead us to where she is.

“What is that?” Gena wondered.

“Shranaia’s necklace,” Vixen answered.

“What else are you looking for?” Rara asked.

“Something that I know I saw last night,” he answered, then we all frowned.

“Were you here last night?” Gena said in disbelief.

He didn’t pay attention to what we were saying, so he stepped outside, and we instantly followed. We know what he is thinking right now, and I’m confident he will not let anything awful happen to Shranaia. In this case, if I’m not mistaken, I know that she has a plan that she can't do because Vixen is stopping her. When we arrived at Akela’s house, she instantly turned to me and groaned.

“I’m not going to be flaky anymore. Whatever you have in your mind is true; but you must be cautious, especially now that the red moon is coming,” she remarked, and I don’t know what she was talking about.

“What do you mean, the strength of werewolves is also determined by that,” Ron remarked, looking at me, and I nodded at what he said.

“What’s up? Do you know where Shranaia is?” Rara inquired, surprised.

“Can you explain to us what’s going on and why we’re the only ones who don’t know?” Gena said furiously.

“You may inquire about that later. We need to find Shranaia for now,” I told them.

They didn’t discuss what I said since I couldn’t take my gaze away from Vixen and was continually thinking about what he needed to do. I just shook my head at what transpired, and I can’t deny that he adores Shranaia. Even yet, there is something in her that has to be managed, which is why we restored her to the pack.

We were getting ready to leave to go to Shranaia’s pack and see if she was there. When we were all ready, we began walking. Apart from the dry leaves that we could hear, there was a deafening silence in the entire land.

“You guys are too quiet. It’s like we’re doing a ghost hunt in what we’re doing right now. We know that’s not fashionable among wolves,” Rara suddenly broke the silence.

“This is not the time for jokes,” Gena said.

“I just noticed something.”

“What?”

“I saw you and Eliot together last time,” she said, which caused Gena to cover her mouth.

“Then what?” she suddenly said, as if nothing had happened. “It’s not a big deal after all,” she added, and then I laughed.

“Can’t you tell me whether you have a love life? Like duh? It’s not good to live alone; you’re already far away from your family; and you’re distance yourself from the person who loves you,” she said, and I couldn't believe she said such things.

I stared at Ran, then he shrugged his shoulders and shook my head. “Then why do you keep Ran away from you?” Gena said.

Rara couldn’t answer what Gena stated since she couldn’t respond to it immediately. I only shook my head, and we continued on our way to find Shranaia. It’s like we return to our former habits, but the situation has changed due to her escape.

VIXEN’S POV

I just held my breath because of what happened. I can’t just let Shranaia do what she’s doing, and what she plans to do is even more dangerous if she’s alone. I’m still not sure if my suspicions are right because I know Samantha and Deacon will use this as an opportunity. I stopped when I sensed an enemy around, and immediately Ron and Ran changed form.

Gena instantly approached me, and I felt the entire area. “You can’t fool me; I know you’re right there; why didn’t you come out?” I challenged.

He came out of one of the trees and gave me a silly smile. “I’m really impressed by your sense of smell and other senses. What do stray pups have to do with my territory?” he inquired, and I winced.

I had no intention of responding to him in case some of his disciples appeared and encircled us all. Gena and Rara also shifted forms and growled at their opponents. “Why are you guarding and defending this area? Dindo, I will simply walk by; don’t worry, we’re not enemies either,” I said, his expression serious.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you, and I never expected to see you again after our previous encounter.”

When I told them to calm down, they quickly altered their form, and I approached Dindo. His men were going to assault me when he lifted his right hand to stop them. He merely sighed and held out his hand to me as a gesture of friendliness between the two of us.

“You haven’t changed since then,” I pointed out, and he grinned.

“Despite the fact that many years have gone, what we both bond for will not change,” he responded, and I agreed.

“Are you two friends?” Gena inquired, perplexed.

“No,” we both said.

“No?” Rara said.

“We’re cousins,” I said, and Ron and Ran both grimaced.

“Cousins? Why were you two so serious earlier? You two are cousins, and you made fun of us,” Ron said, and I chuckled.

I looked at Dindo and then greeted him. He invited us to their kingdom, and when we arrived, I saw how much it had grown, and in the past, I could see that they had good leadership here. Their kingdom is different from our pack because they are black shadow wolves. It looks like a black wolf, but when they are in wolf form, they are just like flying black clouds that look like dogs.

Especially while looking around. I couldn’t help but remember the past and my youth. Especially when I was always focused on training. “Are you looking for her again?” Dindo said, drawing my attention to him.

“Because she’s a bit of an adventurer,” I said, making him giggle.

“It’s not surprising that you were drawn to the most gorgeous woman in the entire pack of wolves. Who wouldn’t be smitten by that girl?” He said that, and I shook my head.

“I know that she could take care of herself and that she is not an ordinary woman either. Even so, she still needs to be watched because of the skills that she doesn’t know yet,” I said, then he looked at me.

"So she doesn’t know about it yet?” he asked, and I nodded.

When we arrived at my uncle and aunt's place, they welcomed me, and I bowed in reverence. They greeted me and asked what was going on in our pack. We didn’t remain long in that pack either since we needed to find Shranaia as soon as possible because we didn’t know what else might happen to her. I informed the queen and king of my plans, and the queen handed me something before we drifted away.

“This is a gem that will lead you to find her quickly,” she stated with a smile.

“Thank you very much,” I murmured, and she simply nodded.

When we left and while walking, I looked at the gem that was given to me. I held it tightly and took a deep breath. While walking, Ron and Ran’s chatter could not be removed, as if we were not thinking about the impending danger.

“Are you a group of handsome people? I didn’t expect Dindo to be so handsome,” Rara suddenly said.

“I’m more handsome than him,” Ran boasted.

Rara gave him an evil look, and I chuckled. Why am I envious of them? “You are overconfident in yourself,” Rara replied, wincing.

I’m not sure how long we’ve walked, but I think we’ve gotten lost. I came to a halt and looked around, then at the sign where we had been before. I know we've gone through this before, and the only surprise is that it’s happening now.

“Why do we keep going back and forth?” Gena asked.

“A while ago, actually,” Rara answered.

She just sat down because she was tired, and I couldn’t help but be suspicious of what was happening now. We often pass by here, and I know that I have never been lost in this forest before. It’s really surprising that at this point we are lost.

“Couldn’t we be playing?” said Ron.

I held my head and thought about what I could do because I just experienced being lost and really in the forest. As far as I know, this forest is not that big, so it is impossible for us to get lost here.

“Come on,” I invited them.

They didn’t say anything more, and we started walking again where we had passed earlier. A few minutes passed, and we were still here where we stopped earlier, and Gena was holding her knee because of the pain in her leg from walking.

“It’s not right anymore.”
