Chapter 110: The Light

....

He finally saw her face and felt warm inside once he saw her. Her long, beautiful, light blonde hair that reached down to her thighs looked as if it was glowing, and her lovely ruby red eyes captivated him immeasurably.

He dropped his bloody sword and reached out to her...

"I...need..you.." Tears suddenly came running down his face

"Then come closer to me..." She held her arms open wide and smiled brightly

He walked up to her and dropped down to his knees. He wrapped his arms around her small waist and hugged her tightly as he cried.

She gently rubbed his head.

"Let's go.." She said

"Go where?" Luther looked up at her with confusion

"Outside." She helped him stand up and grabbed his hand

As she led him down the hallway, every window she walked past lit up as if the sun was brightly shining through them.

Two golden doors were soon visible at the end of the hallway.

"Luther!" A voice shouted

Luther turned his head and saw his father standing far behind him.

"You have work to do...where are you going?" Erdel asked with a darkened, twisted face

"...." Luther looked saddened

"Look at me.." She said to him

Luther listened instantly and looked down at her.

She stood on the tip of her toes and suddenly kissed him.

Despite currently being distracted...her right hand lifted up and she pointed her finger at Erdel who was angrily marching down the hallway towards them.

A golden ray of light shot from her finger and headed straight for Erdel.

The light shot right into and through his chest and he exploded and golden particles of light rained down.

She disconnected her lips from his and pulled him to the golden doors. The doors opened once they stood in front of it and Luther couldn't see anything through the doors but blinding white light.

She let go of Luther's hand and pushed him through the doors.

"No, wait! Come with me!" He reached out for her again and tears ran down his face

"I will be right there with you when you wake up...don't worry.." She gently smiled and the golden doors closed

....

His eyes opened...

He slowly sat up and looked around. He was sitting on a bed and inside of a room clearly belonging to a woman.

He turned his head and saw her...

"Ivery..." Luther instantly pulled her in for a hug

"Are you feeling okay?" Ivery hugged him back tight

"Thank you.." He said

"There's no need to thank me.." Ivery said

He let go of her and slightly pulled back.

He grabbed her hands and continuously kissed them. He didn't know how to properly express or convey the vast amount of love he had for this woman in front of him...

"I just had the worst...and best dream..." He warmly smiled as he looked at her

"What was it about?" She asked, curious about what was both so terrible and wonderful about his dream

"History and my future.." He raised his hand to touch her cheek

"Hm?" Ivery slightly tilted her head, not understanding his vague explanation

"Anyway, what's the situation?" He asked her

"Katerina is definitely Xia, she clearly wanted me dead today." Ivery responded with a serious look

"What about Eos?" He pondered about it

"It could be that she's Darius, so she could easily stay by Xia's side." Ivery answered

"But I just don't know why they want to do all of this roleplay just to kill us, they think we lost our memories and powers, so we should be easy targets, why beat around the bush and try to poison me in a fabricated world?" Ivery thought it made no sense

"Xia has always been childish, she probably wants this to be as entertaining and worth it as possible, or she'll feel completely unsatisfied otherwise." Luther theorized

"Perhaps.." Ivery could see how Luther's observation could be true

"Now since her initial attempt failed, she'll try again with something different.." Luther told Ivery sternly

"Or maybe she'll try her second target.." Ivery said

"Second target?" Luther thought about it and that definitely meant him

"Yes, you...or technically, Loki." Ivery sighed

"So that means we have to go to Fresia.." Luther said

"Yes, but I'll need a disguise..I can't shapeshift like you.." Ivery considered dressing as a maid

"Hm..with my magic can change your hair and eye color, but I can only make them black." He told her

"That can work." Ivery nodded

"Alright then." He smiled

"Before we leave, ask Erebus to take my place here." Ivery told him, needing a substitute for her absence just in case
