chp 3

I remember that in the drama, the disciples will always have to wake up exactly at 5am, but thinking about waking up that early already making me regret this decision.

Ah..I don't want to wake up early tommorow....I whine in my head and lay down on my bed. I cover myself with the blanket, facing the side of the bed.

*Knock knock*

I slowly open my eyes still feeling tired as I glance at the door. I waited for a bit and there was no sound anymore..it was dead silent...Did someone just knock the door? ..or am I just stupid?

...

*Knock knock* oh... I quickly get up from the bed and open the door to see Wei Wuxian smiling as he waved his hand in front of me while holding a long silky white ribbon.

Why did he wake up so early? He usually wake up late. "Senior Wei" i said his name in a dead tired voice. He took a long stare at me without saying anything.

.....

"Hahaha" the laughs came out of his mouth while he holds the door tightly. "Your hair is a mess" he said while trying to hold his laughs. No Shit..I just woke up. I slowly smiled and let him in.

"Why did you came here for?" I asked sitting on the bed as he went to sit on the chair, crossing his legs. "You don't remember? Today is the first day for you to study with the Juniors and other disciples" his response have just make me sober from being tired. I quickly get up and walked to him. "Wait!! What time is it?".."aiya calm down, it's only 4 early in the morning. I woke up a little bit extra early just to check up on you" he patted my head assuring me.

The way he patted my head reminds me so much of Xiao zhan. *Crying inside* i swallowed the air and went back to sit on the bed "oh what a relief..eh? Senior Wei, what's that thing for?" I pointed at the ribbon that he's holding. He rise his arm looking at the ribbon. "It's for you. I figured that you might not know how to tie your hair so i will be the one helping you" he smiled sweetly, raising his eyebrows.

I smiled back and for a while, there was footsteps outside the room. Wei Wuxian looked outside the window and the disciples have already went out of there room to get ready for the day.

"Oh it must've been 5 now.. you should go get ready too and if you don't know where to go, just follow the girls. I'll go check up on Lan Zhan, ..I'm sure he is very tired from last night but I'm more tired because my back- ...Xiao Mei?"

I quickly closed the door unable to stand the thought of it. I scream in my head as I was just standing there outside the door. I looked around to see the disciples went separate ways to get ready. They all have long hair and I can't recognise who is the boy or girl while it was still dark outside.

Some disciples went to the left and some went to the right. I pointed the group in the left, I took a breath and try out my luck. "Emmie miny moe..." I felt dumb playing this game which maybe I am but I ended up pointed to the right. Right it is.. better be the right one for me. (Pun intended)

I followed a group of disciples on the right as they went to the waterfall. Along the way I hear voices and it was unlikely to be a girl voice, it was deep and low as if someone have just woke up from deep sleep. I gasped and covered my mouth. I turned back and bump into someone...oh shit..now I'm dead.

The guy looked at me while he rubs his tired eyes. "I'm sorry" I said it in a low deep voice and quickly walked forward until he grabs my arms as he raised his voice.

"Shi Mei...is that you?" I looked at him and was unable to recognize him. "Uh..yes?".

He gently let go of my arms and the moment he let go, I quickly turned back to where I came from without looking at anybody.

Phew almost got caught. I immediately walked to the left side, the girls were already there washing their face and fixing their hair. The outside view became lighter and the temperature became warmer as time goes by. I washed my face on the waterfall stream, holding my hair in order to prevent it to become wet.

I could hear girls talking and laughing while they were having fun by the stream near the waterfall until a girl came by me touching the water as she took a sip of the unclean bucket besides her.

....should I tell her?...ehh.. it's better not to make her embarrassed

I looked away avoiding eye contact and finally get up to walk back to the room.

"Are you by any chance,... Xiao mei?" The girl's voice speak. I stopped my track and face the girl in front of me. "How did you know my name?" I asked her.

Judging from her clothes, she is not from Gusu. She wears Gusu clothes but different from the Disciples in Gusu. She must've been a disciple from a different clan. Other than that, she have big dolly eyes along with a slim face. She have a soft plump lip with and a sharp jawline. Her hair flows softly on to her waist. She's really pretty *cries in ugly*

"You were the most famous one here. Even that weird guy talked about you the whole time." She pointed at the guy who is no one than that jerk, Jingyi while he was walking with Suzhui. Aish that jerk always talking shit about me. "Oh..I never knew that. Mind telling me your name?" I asked.

"Oh how impolite I am to not introduce myself... I am Xia Ni from Sheng sect in Weiyu." She bowed as she hold her light pink sword with her long delicate hand.

"Nice to meet you Xia Ni. I am Xiao mei, a disciple from here. Do you by any chance know Shi Mei?" I bowed back and by my question, she immediately cough as she quickly went back to drink the bucket of unclean water again.

She looked at me while after she cover her face. "Of *cough* course i know him. We use to be friends..from a long time ago. I heard that he became a disciple here but I didn't expect for him to be missing like thin air" her words suddenly makes my heart stopped. A friend from a long time ago?

"He seems like a great guy even though I have never met him before" I lowered my head....Xia Ni slowly nod as she went back to drink the bucket of unclean water.

....

"By the way...you're drinking unclean water" she quickly spit out the water and rush to the waterfall stream to wash out her mouth as soon as she heard me. "Why didn't you tell me?!" She yelled. " Well I-i didn't want you to be embarrassed" I rapidly explained.

"Forget it..It already happened" Xia Ni whispers to herself.

After a while, I looked back at the stream and the girls from before had already gone to their room or even classes!! I gasped and quickly bowed. "I'll have to get ready for class. See you later!" Without looking back, I speed my tracks to the room

I opened the door, there was Wei Wuxian sitting on the chair waiting for me. "Xiao mei, do you know what time it is!?" He asked me in a serious tone as soon as he sees me. "I'm sorry" I apologise. He got up from the chair and took a long sigh.

"Hahah" Wei Wuxian started laughing as he holds his stomach. "What?" I asked, tilting my head to the side. "It's still early, ahh Xiao mei." He sighed. I smiled and walked towards him as I give him a small punch.

" Senior Wei you scared me." "That's for closing the door on me earlier" He giggled more as he rubbed the part where I hit him.

"Come sit here, I help you do your hair." I came to sit on the chair as I looked at the mirror in front of me. He gently separate my hair from the bottom and as he was doing my hair, I looked outside the window.

The view outside the window was really beautiful as the sun rises and shine down towards the window. Outside the window, the figure of a young man was talking to Jinyi and Suzhui. The young man was wearing Gusu clothes and holding on to his sword. He have a red dot between his eyebrows with a cute slender eyes and thin lips. Handsome Jinling~

...

Suddenly I thought of Xia Ni's words. "A friend from long time ago" I mumbled underneath my breath. "What did you say?" Wei Wuxian looked at me as he paused the hair progress. I looked at him through the mirror. "Oh? Nothing... Hey senior Wei, did you know anything about Shi Mei before he became a disciple here?" I asked. He looked at me weirdly and continue with the progress. "A little bit. At first he actually refuse to come here because he was waiting for someone...but later on, he came to our clan and he accepted to become a disciple here" he responds.

After a while, I think I can confirm that Xia Ni is Shi Mei's friend, a disciple from Sheng Sect. "I think I found the 'someone'. Her name is Xia Ni from Sheng sect in Weiyu. She claimed that she used to be friends with Shi Mei from long ago" I looked back at Wei Wuxian. "Really? It must've been hard on her knowing that Shi Mei is missing...dallas!! How does it look like?" he responds with excitement.

I looked at the mirror and my hair is just the same as any other Disciple's designed hair but mine was helped from the Yiling Patriarch, Wei Wuxian *internal screaming*. "It looks very good! Thank you Senior Wei.".."don't mention it. I'm happy to help you. Now let's get going, we might be late."

We arrived at the chamber along with other disciples too. Wei Wuxian guided me to my spot and while he did, many disciples looked at me as they whispers to the ones next to them. I tried to avoid contact with everyone and minding my own business until the person next to me was mentioning me.

"Can't believe Senior wei and Hanguang Jun put me next to her". "Jingyi, don't say that" another person added. "This the girl you talked about? She's very unlikely on what you said earlier. Maybe that just you being annoying" another person speaks. "She is so beautiful" another one said.

I looked to the person next to me and it is indeed Jingyi who was sitting next to me. Next to Jingyi, was Suzhui, the one behind me was Jin Ling, and the one next to Jin Ling is a young man who is called the "romantic young master" name Ouyang zizhen. Why are they all around me?

Lan Qiren clears his throat and the chatters started to died down. "Since you guys are talking, that means you guys didn't bothered to read the walls of discipline. I will recite the rules right here for you all" most of the Disciples quietly sighed and was ready to sleep.

.....

" Alcohol is prohibited, talking behind other's back is prohibited, do not bully the weak....."

....

As time goes by, I am now feeling the same as the other Disciples who is already asleep. As the rules goes one by one, my eyes is closer to shutting down. I quickly pinch myself to wake myself up. This is going to take forever...

I looked around me to see most of the Disciples was already sleeping exept Suzhui and other Disciples who was pretty much tired but still want to be a good student.

I suddenly cast my eyes on Xia Ni who was staying awake the whole time as if she was observing something. I looked to where she was laying her eyes on and it was towards Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian. Huh? It was Wei Wuxian cuddling and teasing Lan Wangji quietly in front of everyone, even Lan Qiren but Lan Qiren dare not to looked at that direction since it will only be bad for his health.

I didn't know Xia Ni likes to watch that kind of stuff too..... Then she suddenly cast her dolly eyes on me who was staring at her watching those two lovebirds cuddling and seducing each other like there was no tommorow. Oh shit it's awkward now... She smiled as she waved her hands at me under her desk. I awkwardly smiled as I waved back at her.

I immediately looked away and focus back on the rules.

"And the last one is..do not follow the demonic path.....WAKE UP" Lan Qiren slam the book on the table waking everybody up even startled those who are not asleep.

"Seems like most of you guys are not taking this seriously. Those who are asleep will have to recite the 4000 rules 10 times. The one who are still awake can go back to your room and rest" Lan Qiren final his words.

"Wangji-" Lan Qiren paused while staring at Wei Wuxian who was sitting on Lan Wangji's thighs. *Clears throat* "Wei Ying!" Wei Wuxian immediately got off and both of them stands up. "Yes!!" Wei Wuxian responds as he smiled innocently. "Guide those students who are asleep to the library and guards them until they're done reciting, Wangji you too" Lan Qiren immediately looked away as soon as he's done talking. "Yes, shifu" Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji respond.

The Disciples who are asleep went out of the room along with Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian. Xia Ni, Suzhui and some other disciples who are woke went to their room to get some rest after hearing those 4000 rules.

"Xiao mei" and voice called my name as I looked behind me. "Shifu" i bowed. My heart is racing as my anxieties started to build up. Did I do something wrong? *Crying inside*

"I have heard about you spawning into Shi Mei's room. How have you been now?" Lan Qiren asked as he embraced his mustache. "I'm fine now. Thank you for letting me stay" I responds.

"The case is not yet solved but you are safe here until then. Wangji thinks that it will be a good idea for you to come here to learn. I hope studying here won't be hard for you."Thank you Shifu for caring" I bowed as I smiled.

"Studying here now, do you know how to write with brushes?" He asked. "I do not know, I hope you can teach this student" I smiled. He nod and walked towards my seat.

He picked up a brush and write it gently with the flow while he teaches me how to write it properly with the brush.

"Jingyi you prick, you said that it's okay to sleep while Shifu recites the rules" Jin Ling rolled his eyes as he recites his fifth paper.

Jingyi put down his brush aggressively as he glares at Jin Ling. "How would I know that Shifu is gonna make us recite it. Shifu have never did this for such a long time"

"Stop fighting you two. Did you see Xiao Mei? She is very beautiful just like the flowers blooming" Zizhen looked out the window as he have just finished his seventh paper.

"She is quite pretty although my Fairy is much more beautiful, why didn't she have her own sword?" Jin ling asked.

"I told you she does not belong into this 'Universe'. Even if she's pretty, I still think she's weird." Jingyi rolled her eyes.

They immediately stopped talking as soon as Lan Wangji came passed them.

"The Yin tiger Seal is in the main chamber" Xia Ni talked to the talisman as she burned it to send the message to Sheng Qianglian.
