Fuel to their fire
Back at the Convel Society, Nathan was busy wrapping things up in a neat little bow for when he inevitably left the throne for that of the Moon Clan's. There would be an inevitable commotion once that happens, of course, but that was a problem that his future successor just had to take care of. Not that he was one to leave messes behind for anyone that might follow him.
"As was planned, we'll be proceeding with the signing of the peace treaty with the Moon Clan," Nathan declared in front of everyone present in the room. "With this, the war that has plagued the two groups will finally be over."
A muted response swept across the room. A few of the elders clapped, but the rest seemingly looked on at one another, as if gauging each other's reactions and only then would they respond in kind.
