The Fall Of Hippo

"You two come over here.." commanded Vice Principal standing in front of the class.

Tim and Mukher walked up to him.

"So you think you are the gangster's of this class? cursing at your friends, bullying them , well today I'll show what real gangsterism is!" said Vice Principal.

Beating a child was prohibited in school, but today Mr. Vice Principal was going to break the rules....

"Pa!" ...." Pa!" resounded two crisp slaps leaving five finger marks on the faces of Tim and Mukher.

(Well Tim wasn't too innocent himself, the way he and Mukher bullied his classmates is beyond one's imagination)

Then continued few rounds of good beating which left Tim and Mukher to tear up but they didn't beg for mercy nor did they cry out loud . What they felt that day in front of the whole class

was shame.... utter shame.

Everyone in the class had different reactions they didn't expect Vice Principal to take care of them in this way but one person in the class was beyond happy if given chance Casolina would have started cheering and clapping. Because Tim had always been her biggest enemy .

After that Vice Principal took them to his office gave them a brief lecture on how they should behave well in the class.

After they returned to the class, they went back to their respective places, then Tim started explaining everyone about his adventure(... cough..cough...i mean his punishment).He seemed very friendly at that time.

From this moment onwards no one feared him , they even teased him calling hippo. Tim started joking with others and also getting friendly with others even with Casolina.

It didn't mean that he had transformed into a good guy but up to some extent he was better than before.

He didn't stop teasing anyone , just it could be considered as a friendly teasing. But not in the case of Casolina, one day he would behave well, cracking jokes and making her laugh but the other day ...ofcourse he would make others laugh but this time he would crack jokes on Casolina.

Casolina joined tuition in the mid of the semester but her grades started to improve. Previously when a teacher asked a question almost every girl would raise her hand to answer the question except Casolina and her bestfriend Avery( both were the silent kids of the entire campus).

But after joining in the tuition she become the topper in History, Geography, Civics , she did well in science , english and other languages except Maths . Soon she became the favourite student of Social science and science teacher. Teachers would shower her with compliments every time she answered a question .

She started to open up. The best thing which happened to her was making Virat the class topper( especially in maths ) as her friend he was the youngest in the class , shorter than her, had chubby cheeks and resembled a cute baby Panda.

The others two girls of her class were Nisha a girl with lots of tricks up her sleeve, who befriended people for benefits and Dwaraka an average looking girl with a mild temper.

Almost every time when in 7th grade these two were regular absentees . So whenever these two were absent Casolina would be left in a room full of boys with her being the only girl.

Everytime In this kind of situation Virat along with his other two friends 'O' and 'I' ( I'm just naming their characters as O and I) would sit with Casolina solving math problems , gossiping about others and so on.

There was this one day when Nisha and Dwaraka were absent , then Casolina along with her classmates sat along with their seniors of 8th grade .

Casolina felt really uncomfortable but as Virat was with her she just chose to ignore the situation and concentrated on solving maths.

As it was a rainy day even many teachers were absent. Then suddenly Tim being very familiar with their seniors started chatting with them and asked them

" Bro do you wanna listen a joke?"

"yes, let's see if you can make us laugh " said their seniors.

Even Casolina was inretested so she perked up her ears but what came next left her stunned..

" There was a teacher who bent down to lift a pen then a student said.... Mam please close your shirt buttons looking at your Tajmahal my Qutub Minar stood up"

Every senior started laughing like crazy . It took some time for Casolina to understand it , it meant that looking at the teachers breasts the student's little brother stood up.

After the joke completed some of the seniors looked at Casolina because it was totally inappropriate to crack such kind of nonsensical joke in front of a girl with a room full of boys.

Casolina pretended as if she had not listened anything and burried her head into the book. What could she do , there was Virat sitting next to her, there were seniors looking at her.

Sensing her discomfort Virat tried to ease the situation by asking if she had solved the question.With God's grace Tim didn't crack any more jokes.

On that day Casolina decided before coming to tuition she would first inquire the other two girls if they would be present or not.

Soon final exams completed and Casolina's grades improved a lot making her parents proud for her.

8th grade was the mile stone of Tim and Casolina's friendship.....
