Chapter 2 Chance Encounter

Ji-Soo had been working at the company for a few weeks now, and she was loving it. The work was challenging, but she enjoyed the sense of purpose it gave her. She was even starting to make a few friends among her coworkers.

One day, she was taking a break in the park near her office when she saw someone she recognized. It was Min-Jae's father, whom she had met a few times when they were in school together. He was with another man, whom she assumed was his friend.

As she approached them, she realized that the man with Min-Jae's father was none other than her own father. She couldn't believe it - what were the chances of them running into each other like this?

Her father looked just as surprised as she did, but he quickly recovered and greeted her warmly. They chatted for a few minutes, catching up on each other's lives. Ji-Soo's father mentioned that he was proud of her for finding a job, and Ji-Soo felt a swell of pride in her chest.

Then, Min-Jae's father spoke up. "It's a small world, isn't it?" he said, grinning. "I hear that you and Min-Jae have become quite close."

Ji-Soo felt her cheeks grow hot as she realized what he was getting at. She had been trying to keep her feelings for Min-Jae under wraps, but it seemed like everyone was onto her.

To her surprise, her father chuckled. "It seems like these two are a match made in heaven," he said, nodding towards Min-Jae's father. "They both have a knack for getting into trouble."

Ji-Soo was taken aback by her father's words. She had always seen him as someone who was serious and responsible, but it seemed like he had a wild side too.

As they parted ways, Ji-Soo couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Maybe this chance encounter was a sign that things were falling into place. She had found a job she loved, and now her father and Min-Jae's father were getting along. It felt like anything was possible.

But at the same time, she knew that her feelings for Min-Jae were complicated. They had never been close in school, and she wasn't sure if he felt the same way about her. She didn't want to risk their friendship by confessing her feelings too soon.

As she walked back to her office, Ji-Soo couldn't help but feel torn. Should she take a chance and tell Min-Jae how she felt? Or should she keep her feelings to herself and enjoy their friendship for what it was?
