A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?
"You should be careful not to run into such people when you go out shopping in small cities. Not all shopkeepers are righteous people."
As the middle-aged, one-eyed man explained, it seemed that they were almost scammed by that old geezer.
"Especially in cases like today when you're purchasing unusually high amounts of ingredients. People will sniff money from you and do anything to make it theirs."
The man led the two people out of the store to the open space of the shopping district. Upon leaving the shop, the cold breeze slammed their faces and the bustling noises entered their ears. Looking around, there were no traces of the others in sight. It seemed that everyone was still busy.
"Also, don't take all your money out next time."
