The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

Don't leave me behind!!

A figure materialized from nothing.

It was as if the man emerged from the void, he came out of the thin air, or perhaps, his being wasn't even real. An illusion, probably, or even a mass hallucination.

Whatever it was, he wasn't real.

That being couldn't belong to this world. It was clear to all those present even with one glance.

So what was he doing in this place, in this lowly land?

But no one got the time to dwell on those questions. Everyone was too focused on the events unfolding.

The man came directly to Ian. He didn't hesitate, didn't glance at anyone else, didn't even wait for an instance, as if his goal was set from the start. His eyes were solely focused on the bluehead and nothing else. His intentions were clear, at least to himself.

"I-Ilian!"

Someone called out from the other side of the town, running to them at full speed, yet no one reacted to the young man, they didn't have the chance to.
