Liam couldn't help but feel stupid. He thought she finally fell for him but it turns out he was wrong.
They arrived at the penthouse and the man once again opened the door for her, his face stone cold but the gentleness could be detected.
Right now, Jane was completely sure something had irked the man and it is something that happened in the restaurant. She couldn't get what it was exactly but she had to confirm.
"Liam? You don't seem to be okay, anything bothering you?"
The man looked at her for seconds before reverting his eyesight.
"Nothing much, just some work related issues I have just remembered."
He replied, trying to avoid her line of sight but it was completely evident that he was lying.
Since they were in the private lot of the building, they were alone and the privacy here was top notch.
