Enter The King! - Part 2

Warning: Violence

-----------------------

She quickly dodged to the side and grabbed her backpack, making a hasty exit without even bothering to dress.

The hallway was empty and deserted in silence. Ramika found it unnatural. It was understandable that people won't be awake at midnight, but even after a giant gunshot?

'Sleeping gas... The same fucking trick!' she cursed.

The cold wind hit her bare body and with nothing on her, Ramika ran across the hallways all alone. Her eyes darted towards windows, balconies, and other elevated locations to avoid the sniper fire as she made her way through the empty corridors.

And in the end, after a heavy search, she found refuge in the hostel canteen, which had a semi-closed shutter. She snuck within the gap, entering inside.

For a moment, Ramika thought she was safe. But her relief was short-lived.

*TUCK* *TUCK* The faint sound of boot steps echoed all around the silent campus and neared the hiding Ramika.

"Diana♪ Lady Diana♪ Come out and play with your killer♪" A shadow of a man kept getting bigger and bigger as he was nearing the shutter.

"Who are you?" she asked. But a part of her identified the voice. It was a voice that she heard not so long ago.

"Your dear trainee prof—Oh, I asked you to call me by my name, right? It's Devitto... John Fucking Devitto!" John re-introduced himself to the stunned Ramika, displaying himself in full light, getting inside the canteen.

Ramika felt a sharp tingling pain in her neck, feeling the shock. She was totally taken aback.

John was not a mere teacher but one of the 'stealthy' assassins settled in Oasis. Starving for years without a kill or battle to feed his excitement, he now got a fresh assignment that might satisfy his carnal desires to the fullest.

John stood grinning like an evil boss, ogling at Ramika's 'attire'. Ramika had a lot of questions, but her mind settled on asking the pointless one.

"So, your name is John 'Fucking' Devitto?"

"What? No! Not the 'fucking'. It—It's supposed to make it sound cooler! You know—Fuck it. I'm going to kill you anyway, so why bother explaining it to you—"

"Hold on! Hold on! Wait..." Ramika stopped John from sliding his hands to his back pocket, to bring out his 'weapon'.

"What is it? Going to beg for mercy?"

"Nah! I want to make sure. Do you carry a gun?"

Devitto chuckled mildly at the question, wondering how having a gun was going to make any difference.

"No. Just a small pocket knife is enough..."

"Pocket knife?"

"Yeah, rusty pocket knife, that I'm gonna—"

*BAM!*

The bullet fired off from the gun. And it whizzed past Devitto, barely missing him by a few inches. He stood unfazed, although internally he was taken aback.

In front of him, stood Ramika with a vintage revolver she had retrieved from her backpack. Seeing her with a gun, fully focused, Devitto smiled.

"So, that's why you didn't even bother to dress up? Hmm, Feisty..."

"Oh, fuck off... my modesty was dead a long time ago. All that was left was just the will to survive. Now turn back and put your hands behind your head—"

"Shoot me..." Devitto cut her off, calmly asking her to go for it. Ramika stood, confused, and feeling absurd.

"The what? Shoot you?"

"Yeah, go for it. Shoot me... I'll make you understand what's your place." He grinned, ticking Ramika off. Not hesitating even the slightest, Ramika went for it.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

Three bullets were fired. But Devitto stood unharmed or unconcerned.

None hit Devitto. He unclenched his palms, and to Ramika's shock, the three bullets fell from his hands. It dawned on her that he had actually 'caught' the bullets, moving at a speed that her human eyes couldn't even fathom. The realization hit her like a rock.

*BAM!* she shot again in disbelief. But Devitto bit the bullet with his crystal clear teeth like a pancake; much to Ramika's horror.

Gasping for air and feeling choked, Ramika's hands trembled, causing the gun to slip from her grip and fall to the ground.

"That's it? Just four bullets?" he retorted back, laughing.

Ramika sweated in fear. Her courage disappeared into thin air and she cowered and stepped back.

To prove to her how different they were, Devitto clenched his fist and placed it on the wall softly.

*CRACK* The wall erupted into pieces, diminishing the hopes of Ramika completely. To make her even more depressed, Devitto flipped over the arranged tables and chairs like squashing a mosquito and demonstrated a tiny portion of his strength.

"You humans think you can do anything, just by a shot of willpower and stuff... It's nauseating. The smell of hope... Eew!" he scorned her, getting closer to her.

He calmly grabbed the shivering Ramika and brought his face closer to her ears, while caressing her bare body.

"I'm not simply going to kill you, gorgeous... I'll enjoy you and your corpse to the fullest!"

Ramika's heartbeat ran faster than ever and tears slowly peeked out of her eyes.

"I regret... nothing!" she said, holding back her tears and keeping her head high.

"Yeah, of course... Now, say me, darling. How did you come to know about the Grim-Reaper?" he asked, pecking a kiss on her shoulder. He ran his hands all over her, disgusting her.

"Why the fuck, every one of you keep asking me the same thing? I don't know who he is!"

Hearing her, Devitto backed off, throwing his hands above in the air.

"Of course, you don't... Well, anyways, cooperate would ya? You're in perfect 'clothes' and I'm in the perfect mood... Just spread those legs."

Ramika stared in disgust. "How are you handling your disguise? It's of a teacher—"

"Oh! Nope! I... I have feasted on my students at least twenty times. Various schools, different colleges. Forced to kill a few to hush things up," he chuckled.

Ramika felt nauseated and disgusted. She wanted to punch the crap out of him, but she very well knew her fate was sealed and the difference in their strength was astronomical.

"I hope someone kills you all... Not as a profession but for something personal," the venom spat through her words, and Devitto sulked as he couldn't see enough fear from her.

He took out the pocket knife and pounced on Ramika, pinning her down.

Ramika struggled, but couldn't overpower the ridiculously stronger Devitto. In the heated moment, she noticed the eyes of the Devitto changing and emitting a dark violet light, blinding her.

She always took the 'myth' under consideration that the assassins may not be like the other humans. And from how things were going, she thought she was finally going to see it, whether she makes it alive or not.

Devitto forcibly tried to thrust his fingers between Ramika's legs who protested hard by shrieking and screaming her lungs out. Devitto snarkily laughed, mocking her and her efforts to break off.

"No one is around, princess... Scream all you want, nobody is going to help you ou—"

"Guys, can you please keep it down? I'm really trying to sleep here..."

A third unknown voice startled them both, causing Devitto to move away from Ramika like a scared cat and look around to see who the third person was. As she realized the voice belonged to a man, Ramika instinctively covered her breasts and crotch with her hands.

Across the cashier's slab, a man wearing sunglasses at night sat sipping a cup of cold coffee. Although his face was not entirely visible, Ramika was able to make out the little details under the faint moonlight.

And she was shocked.

"It was YOU! The blind guy!" she screeched.

"For the love of god, I am not FUCKING blind!"
