The tea the simple-minded young master served was fantastic. Aru took a sip, savouring the slight bitterness before gulping it down. Sweet snacks accompanied the tea, and he didn't hesitate to consume those as well.
"Why are you here?" Argen asked, directing his question towards Alia, assuming she was the one leading the party. After all, Aru, who was devouring the snacks and tea, didn't look like a leader.
"What is the young master of one of the largest merchant unions doing here?"
As usual, Alia didn't give a straight answer. Instead, she asked another question, realizing she had the upper hand in the conversation.
Aru patiently waited, trying to understand their relationship to evaluate the situation further.
"I am transporting important cargo to Artha," Argen answered.
As far as Aru could see, Argen was an honest simp. His answer doesn't seem to be a lie.
"What is the important cargo?" Alia pressed on.
