Most elves do not dabble in fire spells as fire is the natural enemy of the forest, but as the queen and spiritual leader of the Sunstriders who carry the glory of Sin'dorei, controlling fire was a matter of course for Melody.
She also found that, although fire was the opposite of many nature spells, they would somehow produce an astonishing effect when they were combined.
For example, after infusing a divine art of Sin'dorei into her previous 'Twilight Dictum', it turned into the 'Sunstrider Flaming Lance'. If we assume each of the former abilities to have a power value of 4, then their power combined was not simple addition, but rather multiplication, equal to four times the former power!
