1.6 Peak Qi Refinement Realm/Introduction of My Uncle's Family

Recalling the pain I endured to get my cultivation sent shivers down my spine. "It was... I don't want to talk about it. Just know that it wasn't easy."

Long Fei wanted to ask more questions about it but when he saw the expression on my face, he decided against it, thinking that it was something worse than he imagined.

At this point, Long Fei stood up and said "Tomorrow, We are going out somewhere. Please look presentable. Good Night."

Before I can say anything against it, he vanished. I stood there dumbfounded for a long while before recovering my wits. I sigh inwardly 'At least he didn't think that I was an evil spirit possessing this body. I have no idea what he would do to me if he assumed that.' After I think this, I sit on my bed and continue to cultivate.

After cultivating for 4 hours, I opened my eyes and summoned 2 books. The first one being "The Dance of the Ice Phoenix" and next that is named "The Empirian Phoenix Flame Lotus". I opened "The Empirian Phoenix Flame Lotus first because Phoenix flames seem more interesting than ice.

On the first page was was an Introduction of the history of the bloodline. After reading the Introduction, there was an additional line one the page that read "Please learn both books in tandem. Not doing so can lead to your body either exploding or freezing to death. When you learn one technique in this book, learn one in the other book and then stabilize your foundation afterwards."

After reading this, I turned to the next page which was the first technique, Phoenix Flame Lotus Blossom. In the book it says 'Its so beautiful that you will die.' It makes flames sprout and bloom out of the ground like flowers.

In the other book, Dance of the Ice Phoenix, the 1st Techniques isn't like the other one and can be used with a sword as well. The techniques are also call dances. The first dance is know as Frozen Moon. After frawing a circle with your sword, the sword will start to glow. When it glows, you point at your target. After that, it freezes the target in place. It also freeze everything on the ground within a certain area and can trap other people in the ice as well. Closing my hand can make whatever it is that is encased become ice particles and dissipate into the air.

'If I used these 2 techniques in tandem, I could probably boil my enemies to death.' I think to myself while walking to an empty courtyard so I can practice. Hopefully... I don't blow up the courtyard.

After I get to the courtyard, i start channeling my flames and directing them with my qi. I let the flames gather onto my fingers and then put my hand on the ground. The flames dissapear from my fingers. At first, I thought I faild and was getting ready to try again when the ground suddenly caught on fire and the fire started to grow or in this case, bloom like a flower and spread out. After staring at this spectacle for 5 seconds, I wave my hand and put out the flames.

"This is pretty cool."

After that, I tried to use Frozen Moon. Since I didn't have my sword on me, I just used my finger. I channeled my energy into my finger then I drew a circle with my index finger. After a little while, I decided to choose a tree as my target. I point at it and in an instant, the tree stopped swaying in the wind. The leaves stopped rustling. Then frost spread from the center of the tree and spread out up to the last leaf and down to the last root. I try closing my hand and all of the sudden, the wind pick up a bit and the tree starts to turn in to particles and dissipate into the air just like the book said. I stared at the the place where the tree used to be in shock for a while.

There was also 3 more people that spectated the entire scene and they are more shocked than her.

My Uncle, my cousin, Long Fei and My Aunt (The Empress) told all of the eunuchs and maidservants to evacuate the garden when they followed me to the empty courtyard. What they did not expect to see was me putting my powers into action. In all their years of using practicing martial arts, they had never seen anything like that. The flames burned the grass off the ground with out any burn marks or even the smell of burning grass. There wasn't even any smoke.

What really terrified them was when I froze the tree. It was like I froze the time and the air surrounding the tree also froze. And when I closed my palm and the tree dissipated into the wind, that sent chills down my uncle's spine. Long Fei was also suprised at how strong the technique I used was.

"Divine Rank!" My uncle said.

Long Fei looked at him. So did my aunt. "It can't be. Haven't all of the divine rank methods be taken out of the continent thousands of years ago?"

"My eyes haven't gone bad yet. That energy that radiated from her body was suppressing the energy in my body. The cultivation method I use is only one rank below divine. Only a method at divine rank can suppress it lime this. But where did she get it from?" My uncle states and asks the question on everyone's mind.

"Don't even think about asking!" Long Fei whisper shouts. "Aren't we family? Why do we need to know where she got it from anyway? Besides, something tells me that even if we had those techniques, they would be useless."

"... Are you saying..."

"... It completely suppressed my bloodline completely. My instincts wanted me... to follow her."

"You mean... The leader of the Mythological beasts, The Phoenix?" My uncle asks.

"That's the only thing that would make me feel like this."

While they were talking, I started to feel very lightheaded and kneeled down on the ground.

"Li Ren!" Long Fei shouts in alarm completely ruining all of the effort they put into hiding so they had no choice but to come out.

I look over and see Long Fei running over towards me. "... Fei..." Then I passed out.

Long Fei was very worried when his father grabbed his shoulder. "It's only Spirit Overdraft. She'll be fine by tonight. Take her to her quarters and don't say a word about what happened in that courtyard."

Long Fei realized that he overreacted and sorted out his emotions. "...Yes, father."

After that, he picked me up and brought me to my room, placed me in my bed and looked at me weirdly. "There must be something wrong with me." He honestly didn't know why he overreacted. He has always been coolheaded in nature but now, he panicked over something so minuscule. He shook his head and walked out the door.

While this was going on, I was pulled into my mind space by the old in front of me.

"I see you have already learned the first techniques from each book." The old man was had long flowing gray hair but his body radiated a very strong life aura. He could be the strongest man I have seen at this point.

"Yea, you are the owner of that voice, right? Why did I pass out just now?" I asked him curiously.

"Oh, that? Although you have learned how to complete the spell, you haven't learned how to control the amount of energy you use, and this resulted in you overdrafting you spirit." The old man stated. "Your energy has become chaotic. Little one, come and sit across from me and I will teach you how to control the qi inside your dantian."

I do as instructed and sit across from him. The old man then sends out energy to my meridians and says, "This will be you guide. Follow my energy the first 2 times and then when you are ready, I will cut off my link to this energy and give it to you."

"But, if I take your energy, won't you be weaker?" I was worried that he would sacrifice himself for me, even though we don't know each other that well.

"Weaker? Hehe, Even if I gave you 90 percent of all of the energy in my body, I could still level this entire little country." He says arrogantly. "Alright, that enough. Let's get started."

I start to follow his energy throught my meridians as instructed. "Don't be in a hurry to complete a cycle. Take your in doing this. I am also gonna guess you only recently broke through, correct?"

"Yeah." I say truthfully as lying will probably get me killed.

"We will stabilize your foundation first before I hand over my energy to you."

I nodded and focused on the task at hand. After about 2 hours, I completed 2 cycles and the energy inside of my body stabilized. "The energy I handover to you isn't your own so there will be some rejection. You will feel some pain. Prepare yourself." After saying this, I feel a searing pain inside of my body. I clench my teeth, holding the urge to curse outloud, and focus more on directing the energy through my meridians and sending it to me dantian. After another hour of suffering, the pain disappeared and I experienced a set of rapid breakthroughs.

"Luckily, you could take the pain. Most people would have passed out by now."

I opened my eyes and I was outside of my mind space. If anyone were to look at my eyes right now, they would see that they were different. One had gentle flames in its iris and the other produced a flurry of snow in its iris. At this moment, I heard the old man's voice again. "Train your body as well. If you have a weak body, then this power will definitely kill you. Also, try not to breakthrough to the next realm for a while."

After hearing him out, my stomach rumbled and interrupted my thoughts. As, I walked to the door a maid opened the door and said "Young Miss, food has been prepared for you all ready. Follow me to the dining hall."

I nod and follow the maidservant to the dining hall. After arriving, I see 5 people sitting at the table. Two of them are my Uncle and my cousin, Long Fei, who I have seen before and the others, I have never met before.

"Oh, Little Ren, come on over and... you've brokenthrough? Isn't this a little too fast?" My uncle was gonna call me over to sit beside him when he noticed the aura that leaked out of me was now as strong as Long Fei's.

Everyone looked at me curiously and Long Fei looked at me like he wanted to cut me open to see the secrets hidden inside. Feel a bit uncomfortable under everyone's gaze, I nervously shift around and make something up on the spot. "When, I passed out earlier, it was because I had broken a seal on my dantian and my body was trying to convert it into its own energy. And I succeeded. They all knew that my dantian was sealed when I was younger so telling them this lie wouldn't hurt. I couldn't just say that the old man living in my soul transferred some energy into my meridians.

"Alright, come over and sit down. You must be hungry." My uncle says hurriedly with a look of concern on his face. "Let me introduce you. Beside me is my wife. You can call her Auntie Zhao."

"You look so much like your mother. It's nice to finally meet you." My aunt looks at me with a hint of reminiscence in her eyes. It seems that she was really close to my mother.

"Likewise." I smile and nod.

My uncle continues the introductions. "In front of Fei'er are my 2 daughters. The eldest daughter is Long Meihui and you and her are the same age. The youngest is Long Changying She is 12 years old. Xueyan is an alchemist. She recently became a Silver ranked alchemist and is a elder of the Alchemist Association. Changying is a martial practitioners. She's actually not that far behind you in level. She recently brokethrough to the 7th stage of the Qi Refinement realm. She likes to spar so if you can, please look after her."

As I heard more, I realized that the Emperor's genes were really something. This whole family was filled with geniuses. Even the Emperor's wife is a genius in her own right. She owns 1/3rd of all the businesses in the capital and even created the concept of chain resturants and stores. If she was place in my world before the undead took over, she would be one of the world's most powerful and influential women. She has even extended her chain stores to other continents. It is very clear that influence isn't to be underestimated.

While I was lost in my thoughts Changying got up and sat beside me while looking at me curiously. "Big sister, is it true that we can spar anytime? How about sparring tomorrow?" I looked at her watery eyes that were brimming with anticipation. Where could you find a battle maniac this cute?

"I also need to see where my strength lies. Alright, where should we do this at?" I asked.

This was when Long Fei speaks up. "This is good too. Remember when I said we were going out tomorrow to meet some people? We are heading to over to the sparring arena to meet a couple of my friends. Changying can come with us."

I nodded and continue eating my food. Changying wore a smile on her face that could probably make me blind again if I stared at it long enough. She swung her legs under the table and was humming a tune. She seemed like a normal girl but probably is anything but that in battle. 'Sparring her gives me time to get used to my new body.' I think to myself.

After eating my dinner, I excused myself fron the table and took a bath before going to bed.
