Fallen Invasion

I set up my dungeon next to a small village that was taken over by The Fallen, setting up the way I wanted my Dungeon to look. I installed the Battle Arena in the back of the dungeon near my Boss Room, the Trap Explosion right at the entrance, and the Monster Hatchery directly in front of the Altar Room.

Maliz giggled softly as she took care of the Monster Eggs while they prepared to hatch, looking up at me with a dark excitement. "It's almost like we're becoming parents to these monsters..~ Just me and my Dark Lord boyfriend..~"

I looked down at Maliz with my arms crossed then looked out into the distance. I listened to her hum a dark lullaby happily, waiting for the moment when the monster eggs finally hatched. As we waited, Nagini approached me, a smile playing on her face

"Is everything ready?" Nagini asked, her gaze meeting mine.

I shook my head and looked down at Nagini, watching her incubate the eggs and get them ready to hatch. "Not yet, they haven't hatched yet and we've been waiting for them to hatch."

"I see. Well, while we have this down time, allow me to explain how the Altar works and how Souls work as a Dark Lord," Nagini said, leading me to the Altar Room.

I followed Nagini into the Altar Room, looking around and noticing a large arcane structure in the back with a floating orb in the middle of the structure. The orb of clear, seemingly empty and the arcane symbols didn't glow upon the structures.

"This is your Altar Room. This room stores Souls and you to gain souls, a human has to die either in this room or adjacent rooms. Currently, this is a Rank 1 Altar so you can only hold 300 Souls so far. You'll need Souls to have a steady flow of Monsters within each Dungeon Room they are deployed in," Nagini began, holding her arms under her chest.

"Additionally, you'll also need souls if you wish to Corrupt a Hero based on what I know from battling against the Dark Lords during the Ancient Era. It costs 100 Souls to fully corrupt a Hero," Nagini continued, turning to look at me.

"What if I want to redeem someone? Like Redeem a Fallen Hero?" I asked, looking over at Nagini.

"Redeem a member of The Fallen huh? Well, I don't know. Dark Lords are typically known for corrupting people, not redeeming them. If I were to guess, I suppose it would take the same amount of Souls to redeem someone of their Dark Impulse," Nagini answered, shrugging her shoulders.

I nodded, looking at the Altar in front of me. "If I want to understand Dark Lords like Mariella, I will have to act as one...but I don't want to just be a Dark Lord. I want to find my own way and forge my own way into understanding the moral gray areas of the universe that Mariella spoke of.."

Nagini smiled, closing her eyes then exhaled softly. "I'm glad you're not just exploring just the darker areas of being a Dark Lord. Forging your own path is just as important in times like these."

I nodded at her words, turning away from the Altar. "Alright, let's go check up on Maliz and the monsters."

Nagini nodded, following behind me back to the Monster Hatchery. Upon entering, we noticed the newly hatched army of monsters in front of Maliz, listening to her commands as she spoke to them with authority.

I stepped forward, looking at the four species of monsters. 'Looks like they are ready to be deployed..'

The Slimes were green gelatinous creatures that moved up and down with unbridled energy and excitement. The imps were small, mischievous demons with a cunning grin on their faces and carried a bident on their hands. The goblins were aggressive creatures with green skin and pointed ears, wearing brown clothes and hat, wielding battle axes. The bats were flying creatures with purple bodies and sharp fangs they use for their strikes.

Maliz looked back at me and smiled, hurrying toward me then leaned toward me, planting a gentle kiss on my lips. "Darling, they are all ready to be deployed and we are ready to start our invasion..~"

I nodded and returned her gentle kiss. "Alright, as much as I would want to join you on the invasion, without a Dark Lord within the dungeon anyone can come in and slip by to destroy the Devil Stone in the Boss Room. I shall stay behind for now while you pillage the village."

Maliz nodded excitedly, placing her hands upon my chest. "Mmmn~ Don't worry, I'll be sure to not have too much fun out there without you..~ For now, I'll just stir up enough trouble to lure them back to the dungeon."

I nodded and smiled at Maliz, gently caressing her cheek. "Take one of each Monster with you. Make sure they don't die, I won't be able to summon more without Souls. My Dungeon also needs to grow like Mariella's does."

"I understand Darling..~ I'll be sure to take good care of our little heathens," Maliz teased, leaning into me to give me another kiss.

I returned her kiss once again, our second kiss lasting for a moment longer than our first. Soon, Maliz pulled away from the kiss, walking backwards and her gaze lingered upon mine. She smiled and turned toward the Monsters, taking one of each and retreated off to invade the village.

After she left, I went to each room to deploy each Monster into a specific dungeon room. I deployed the slimes in the Trap Explosion Room, the Imps were deployed in the center Monster Battle Room, the Goblins were deployed in the Prison Area, and the Bats were deployed in the Battle Arena.

"While we still have this time, let me explain to you that your environment also changes how your Dungeon looks. We are currently in the forest so your Dungeon adapts to the environment thus turning it into a Forest Dungeon which allows for more tricky traversing for your invaders," Nagini said, following me to the Boss Room.

"And if I'm out in like a prairie or a plain area?" I asked, glancing at Nagini.

"Strongholds will form which in turn also contains and acts like your Dungeon Rooms. If your invaders manage to kill off your monsters, and you have no souls, the invaders can capture the Dungeon Room or Stronghold, weakening your dungeon, only leaving you to fend off an entire army alone," Nagini answered.

"On the other hand, if you have souls, it only takes one soul to revive a Monster and as long as you have Souls, the Dungeon Room can not be captured as the monsters will respawn within a set time frame," Nagini added, watching as I took a seat upon the throne of the Boss Room.

I nodded, soaking in all of her information like a sponge. "I think I understand. Thank you once again for helping me learn.."

"Of course. You're still my Lab Rat, August...where you go I go. You're still technically the Hero of Origin and I am your Apostle as an Infinity Council Member. I truly acknowledge you," Nagini said, gently rubbing my head and smiled at me.

I smiled back at her words, leaning into her touch slightly. "Alright, it's time to put this into motion. All we do now is wait..."

Nagini nodded then summoned her floating device, sitting down upon it then began to use her high-tech device to upgrade my system.

-----------------------------------

Maliz walked toward the entrance of the village and put on her black coat, her hood shadowing her face and her identity concealed. Behind her, our monsters followed suit, each one ready to terrorize the village. Before she entered, she got a call from Nagini and answered it, a holographic screen appearing in front of her.

"I see you're nearing the entrance of the village. There is a valuable artifact in the church within the village. There is also a Shaman within the ranks of that church. August, do you want to capture her or no?" Nagini asked, looking over at me.

I sat on my throne, with my elbow resting on the arm of the throne and my cheek resting against my hand. "Lure her here. If a Shaman is within the ranks of The Fallen, she might be corrupted and needs to be Redeemed. Shaman are best used when their powers come from Light instead of Darkness."

Maliz smiled at me and licked her licks slowly. "Mmmn..~ I already love the way you speak as a Dark Lord...it's so much more menacing than your normal form..~ Okay, my love...I will lure the Shaman and a few more member of The Fallen to you."

"Don't forget about the relic," Nagini reminded before hanging up.

Maliz summoned her staff and looked at her monsters. She pointed her staff forward, giggling softly. "Go forth, my pets. Destroy and steal, leave the church to me."

The monsters let out their battle cries and rushed into the village. Before the residents of the village could know what was happening the monsters began to wreak havoc upon the village nearly immediately.

The Slime began to use its anatomy to cover the bodies of their targets, taking them over, and to absorb physical damage. The Imp used their dark magic to create illusions and scare a few weaker members of The Fallen away, causing them to retreat toward the forest where my dungeon was located.

"Monsters!" A woman screamed, hurrying away as she was being chased by the Goblin.

"There's only four of them! Take them down!" A soldier rallied, rushing forward to take down the Imp.

The Imp evaded the soldier's slash, chuckling mischievously before impaling the soldier through his chest with their bident. The bat swooped down to finish the soldier off with a fatal bite upon his neck. The Goblin began to loot multiple houses, taking whatever he could get his hands on.

Maliz watched the destruction take forward, biting her lip as her Dark Impulse awakening within her. She reveled in the destruction and chaos, biting her finger gently and darkly giggled. She could feel herself growing aroused at the chaos, seeking more of it.

While the monsters terrorized the village, Maliz made her way toward the church, sensing dark energies coming from the fallen church. She kicked the door down, noticing a ritual going on inside and noticed a woman standing in front of a golden relic adorned with a red gem.

The woman turned around and Maliz knew she was the Shaman Nagini mentioned. Maliz walked into the church, studying the appearance of the Shaman.

The Shaman appeared to be a graceful and elegant figure, evoking a sense of purity and nobility. She was dressed in a flowing, white gown that was form-fitting but modest, conveying both elegance and beauty. The design of the gown, with its delicate straps and subtle slits, gave her a slightly ethereal, almost goddess-like appearance. The outfit suggested refinement and sophistication, with hints of classical influence.

Her long, wavy blonde hair cascaded down her back, further emphasizing her elegance. Her hair was voluminous, soft, and well-kept, adding to her overall delicate and angelic aura. She wore gold accents, particularly around her neck and wrists, which add a touch of royalty or divinity. These gold accents suggested she might be of high status, perhaps a noblewoman or even a celestial being like an angel or goddess.

Maliz walked forward into the church, summoning her staff and glanced at the Shaman, her hood still concealing her identity. "Shaman, you're coming with me. You have no choice but to. It is my Dark Lord's Will for you to join his army."

'Dark Lord..? I thought they were sealed away by the Infinity Council...but beyond that, I may finally have a chance to become free from this corrupt location...even if it is a Dark Lord saving me...' The Shaman thought, standing in a graceful posture.

"Hey, did I say you could stop the ritual, Moira?" A male asked, looking down from the choir stands, his sharp hazel eyes piercing through the darkness of the church. "Do you wish to be punished again? Finish awakening that Demon Statue so we can present it to Darkness already. He's tired of waiting."

"Unfortunately for you, she won't be finishing anything. She's coming with me," Maliz said, her tone filled with authority and command.

The man looked down at Maliz, sitting up in his seat and studying her mysterious presence. "And who are you?"

Maliz took a moment to think of an alias. After a moment, she smirked and looked up at the man. "My name is Code. I am the Secretary to a Dark Lord and I've been tasked with pillaging this village and taking this Shaman and the relic you call the Demon Statue."

"You aren't taking her anywhere. How about you just leave or else I'll get my goons on you," The man said dismissively, waving Maliz off.

Maliz summoned her orb, warping reality and causing Moira and the relic to disappear from the church and into my Prison Area. "If you want them back...gather your 'goons' and come to my Dark Lord's Dungeon..~ If you manage to beat him, welly give her back to you.."

The man watched as Maliz warped away with the monsters, their pillage and invasion a massive success. He scoffed lightly and stood up, walking down the stairs then took out his phone to call a few allies.

"Yeah, it's Kuda here. I need assistance. I ran into some difficulties. Apparently a Dark Lord has a dungeon near the village, I need some allies to come help me raid this dungeon.." Kuda said, walking outside the church, only to see the destruction around the village.

"And a new base of operations. Send your best units. We can't let whoever this new Dark Lord is live. We must kill them as soon as possible....right, I'll see you there," Kuda said, hurrying off toward the forest.

---------------------------------

I looked at my Altar, noticing I had gained a few Souls from those who managed to wander into my dungeon then sensed Maliz warping next to me. I looked at her and crossed my arms, noticing her delighted smile.

"My love, I did it. The Shaman is in the Prison Area and I got the relic that Nagini was mentioning. I've also managed to lure a strong Fallen Member here. He should be here in a moment," Maliz purred, seeking praise and rewards, leaning against me and looked up at me.

I stared at her for a moment then smiled at her and chuckled softly. I held her chin, leaning down to kiss her lips to reward her for a job well done. Maliz wrapped her arms around my neck, melting into the kiss. She let out a soft moan within the kiss, still riled up from relishing in the pillaging of the village.

"Can't you do just wait until you get home to do all of this? We haven't won just yet," Nagini chuckled softly, approaching us while sitting on her floating device and a slightly jealous blush began to form on her cheeks.

I pulled away from the kiss and smiled at Nagini's comment. "Yeah, yeah. I know we haven't won just yet, but I'm just giving her a nice reward.."

Maliz bit her lip, engrossed in me and gently let her hand roam along my midsection. "Maybe...I can get another reward after this?~ I need it...I can't take this feeling anymore.."

I looked down at Maliz and smirked at her. "After we're done with everything..."

Suddenly, we heard an explosion at the entrance of my dungeon, the sounds of screams of agony echoing around the entire Dungeon. My O-System beeped, and I summoned it in my hand. I looked at the map of my dungeon, seeing a few notification.

{Dungeon Room Level Up!}

{Dungeon Room Type: Trap Room}

{Room Name: Trap Explosion}

{Room Level: 1 -> 5}

I smirked and handed my device to Maliz, letting her handle the upgrades of my dungeon. "Alright, they seem to be here. I'll leave the upgrades to you, Maliz. I'm gonna wait in the Boss Room."

Maliz nodded and summoned her orb then enlarged it, sitting on top of the orb. She crossed one leg over the other, using my system to set how the experience distribution is set and what to upgrade when each room began to level up.

As Kuda's forces continued storming the dungeon, they noticed reality warping around them, disorienting them. Kuda noticed the Altar Room in front of him then took the exit north of the Altar Room with a few of his surviving troops.

"I can see it! The Boss Room is up ahead!" Kuda exclaimed, pointing his dagger forward. "Charge!"

His troops rushed forward, running into the Battle Arena and began to get swarmed by the Bats within the room. The Bats dodged their attacks swiftly then each one let out a deafening screech then an orb of dark energy crashed down upon the room, killing Kuda's forces and their souls were dragged into the Altar.

Kuda grunted softly and looked around, rushing forward and travelled through the forest toward my Boss Room. He grunted as he began to evade energy projectiles, leaping forward and grabbed the branch to propel himself forward. He noticed a barrage of dark energy bolts hurling toward him.

'These stupid bolts of energy, who is firing them..?!' Kuda thought, slashing in a circle with his whip sword, deflecting each energy bolt.

He rushed forward, entering my Boss Room then looked ahead, noticing me sitting upon my throne. He stared at me for a moment, feeling my terrifying presence and froze for a moment.

I opened my eyes, looking at Kuda and my aura alone was enough to generate power winds. Kuda grunted as he guarded himself from the high winds. He looked behind my throne, noticing my Devil Stone then glanced back at me.

"If you think you can reach my stone before I strike you down, then by all means...please attempt to do it.." I said, my tone low and intimidating.

'A male Dark Lord..? There's no possible way that a Dark Lord is a male. Is he not a Demon King? No, I saw it myself, he has monsters, dungeon rooms, and can harvest souls from humans. This had to be a nightmare..' Kuda thought, his gaze meeting mine.

He readied his sword and grunted softly, bracing himself. He swung his sword toward me, the blade breaking apart and extending toward me. I watched the blade and used my aura to repel the attack. I stood up and held my palm out facing the ground. Black lightning formed under my hand, taking shape into a sword and I grabbed it.

"It's my turn to strike then... Don't struggle," I said coldly, getting into my stance.

I rushed forward, my body flickering due to my high speeds then I appeared behind Kuda, flourishing my sword and swiping it to the side, flicking the blood off the blade. Kuda fell to his knees, a large gash forming at his neck and he fell to the ground.

His soul exited his body and began getting dragged into the Altar. The Dungeon hummed with power, absorbing all of the dead bodies and strengthened itself, distributing the experience along each room and monster evenly.

{Boss Unit has died.}

{Day 1 Complete.}

{Souls Earned: 25}

{Gold Earned: 120}

{Notoriety Points: 100}

{Notice: Notoriety Rank increases per 100 Points!}

I smirked at the holographic displays in front of me, making my sword disappear. I turned back to look at Nagini and Maliz, the two of them nodding and smiling at me as well. I gathered all my Monsters and turned them into souls so they could rest as the sun began to rise.

"There's only one thing left to do before going home...Talk to the Shaman.." I said, looking at Nagini and Maliz.

"Yeah, let's do that then head home. I'm quite tired," Maliz said, stretching.

Mariella watched as we made our way to the Prison Area of my dungeon, humming softly and chuckling. "Well, well...he's already a natural. C'mon Ylva, let's go find something to do while we wait the rest of the 19 days..~"

"Is Dark Lord August ally to you, Master?" Ylva asked, following Mariella.

"Only fate can answer that question..." Mariella chuckled, hopping into a river and looked at Ylva. "In the meantime, we have a few small bases we can pillage ourselves~ Are you ready!"

Ylva nodded eagerly, her wolf tails wagging happily. She let out an excited howl and got ready to follow Mariella anywhere she needed. Mariella giggled softly, diving under water and swimming down the stream with Ylva running along side her in her wolf form.
