He circled his arm around her waist while letting go of her lips. Their faces were so close that their breathe mingled together. 

Claire raised her head slowly and looked at his face. She felt so unreal, he felt so unreal. She did not want to believe it was really Carter in her house but indeed, it was him. 

Carter raised his free hand and ran it gentle by the side of her face. He was like a merchant who was appreciating an intricate gold vase. His finger stopped on her lips and he rubbed his thumb across her plump lower lip. 

She blinked and her long lashes flustered while staring intently at him. Her brain was so messed that she almost could not fathom anything reasonable. Her heart jumped continuously that she thought it would breakthrough her ribcage.
