Target Mode

Dye's eyes widened as the puppet who previously spoke in a human tone spoke in a cold voice instead. The puppet's face was unreadable, but as a puppet, it had the ability to delete all its emotions in once go. They were born without emotions in the first place.

A cold glint appeared in its two black eyes as it immediately charged over. Each attack was calculative and precise, the way a puppet should act. Dye's large eyes sharpened at the thought. It was dangerous, way more dangerous for her. It seemed that the wind was not blowing in her direction.

She was pushed to dodging only, again.

"Die!" The puppet shouted with a monotone voice. Dye's brows furrowed as she levitated away from the puppet. Her heart was not in peace, it was thumping wildly, which shouldn't happen (really?). She had experienced a lot of things, things that a lot of people might not even dare experience once they caught news of it.

Her face immediately turned ashen as she realized what was going on.

She had placed the log screen in the 'hidden' category so it wouldn't show during the fight, but at the price that she couldnt' see what attacks the puppet did to her. At first, she didn't really think much about it. At most, the puppet would only charge, swing, slash, dodge, kick, punch whatever normal fighting move a knight would've had. But this time, she realized that she had taught the puppet something more than just being emotionless.

Messing with the opponent's emotions could bring the fight to your advantage.

It was indeed planning to play with her emotions! The puppet didn't realize that she found out what it was doing, but it still used the very same skill again. It shouted the same word, the same frequency and volume, but the effects weren't that much compared to before. However, she could still feel the fear bubbling inside her heart. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. She thought after that experience, she wouldn't need to experience the same thing ever again.

She definitely wouldn't let her emotions get to the best of her. Just like the puppet broke her satisfaction, she would break the puppet's satisfaction as well, if it still could feel a bit.

It was harder now that she had to constantly stop herself from being intimidated by the puppet's voice. If she really got intimidated, she would freeze and stop moving. If it was just a game character, they would be just fine after getting a slash, but she wasn't a game character. She had a life. This world equaled Earth, at least in the terms or reality.

If only she could see the armor's weak spots. Like those in the dungeon bosses? Even if this [Refined Straw Puppet General] wasn't really a real boss like the puppeteer, she hoped the system would have something to deal with it. The granary was dark so her eyesight had to be sustained with a spell. How long could she contend with the puppet with the spells coming one after another and one that she had to sustain for a long while?

Who named a title 'I Can See' anyways? But as soon as she activated the Target Mode, she could see more clearly even without the spell. Several rings appeared on the puppet's armors and other places, but it was certainly there. The rings glowed bright yellow, so even if she couldn't see in the dark, she could see that the puppet was definitely close when the circles got larger and far when the circles were smaller. All her attacks had a 60% chance of hitting the targets!

Why didn't she discover this OP skill sooner? She could've beat the puppet faster as well!

Dye seemed like a blind person putting on glasses, the Target Mode also allowed her to calculate the best possible blind spot so she could attack more freely. She obviously didn't design this Target Mode, but it was wonderful!

She did give a crosshair to the game and targets to bosses but this was way better than those designs.

Ah...she envied the players who didn't know the pain of making a game now. It must be hard for Hyouka's world system creator...
