Chapter 4: Let The Games Begin

Divyansh's POV

"What the fuck did I tell you? Answer me David. Are you fucking deaf?

Or maybe dumb too? Fucking look at me when I talk to you."

I shouted, knowing well that my voice rang throughout the floor. I could feel each pair of eyes on me, but that didn't stop me.

"You know it David, I'm very particular with my work and yet you do things to annoy me."

This time my voice was surprisingly calm but dangerous nonetheless.

"S-sorry s-sir." His not-so-pleasant voice came out and it seemed he was about to cry. I think I over did it but right now I wasn't in my senses.

"Out! And don't bother showing me your face again." Was all that I said.

David knew me well to run out of my office that very instant, never bothering to attempt another sorry this time.

He was - is - one of my favorites, someone who knew my kind of business management. I worked a different way and David picked up rather quickly than I expected.

And that is exactly why I picked him for the job I had in mind. Something I wouldn't dare give someone I didn't trust. And the latter, I had many, working right under my nose.

Having to give him a full blown expulsion just happened to give a blast to all the deep embedded frustration that had been accumulating since the time I saw the two nincompoops in my back garden together. Talking, laughing, acting as if they were the only one's out there. Actually, they were the only one's there, since everyone else was inside.

Did this girl have absolutely no shame at all? Was she really that desperate? She knew well, Humaid and I were business partners and yet she was flirting with him.

I was beyond pissed.

And that official motherfucker is the most useless guy I've ever come across  in my life.

I know I'm no one to say that about him because I too sleep around, but it's all in limits. My flings are different and involve absolutely zero emotional experiences.

Whereas with him it's a different deal entirely. He is a playboy period!

He literally uses girls and dumps them later.

The worst of it all, he bloody goes around boasting about it, as if it's something which proves how manly he is. That freaking bastard is hitting on my sister now.

It doesn't matter to me as long as the girl is not my sister he's fucking but...I don't want it to be her as well.

She is after all an employee. There must be no lewdness in the office - my office!

Besides, I still need some answers from her about our past.

It's damn excruciating to think how easily I gave into her net of lies. After a long time had I started to open up to someone. Someone in whom I put my profound trust. Someone with whom I have shared my deepest and darkest secrets. I know I messed up huge at first but then I started changing.

She obviously was oblivious to that.

I want to know why was she pretending to understand me and share my feelings when all she wanted was a fling. That too when I offered it to her, she left saying I was a playboy. If that's what she thinks about me I don't know what image Humaid has in her eyes. Forget about image. From the way they mingled without even being introduced tells me she does know him from long ago. So. she must be well aware of his character too. Why then, did she leave me?

A knock on the door pulled me right out of my thoughts.

Minaxshi wasn't so playful today but she lifted my mood as always. I was internally thankful, somehow relieved even, that she came, else I would have lost it completely.

"So, another expulsion? Tell me what's going on. You definitely have got something stuck up in your ass."

"Language Minaxshi." I corrected her at once.

"Ya ya whatever. Now tell me what's bothering you."

She just shrugged casually and giving me an eye roll sat grumpily on one of the chairs right in front of my desk.

"Nothing. Just usual work stress."

I sighed while taking my seat as well. I didn't want to fight with her. Not only because she'll stop talking but hugely because once she stops I'll have to give in to every one of her wishes, which for the most part consists of buying her all the food she can eat and she eats 'a lot' without getting fat.

"Oh it definitely isn't nowhere near work stress. It's something else. And what I fail to understand is, that Divyansh Singh Grover can actually be troubled with something other than actual, important, business work.

So come on brother, tell me."

If it wasn't for another stupid knock on the door, and my sister allowing the outsider to let themselves in, I would have actually told her everything. I was mentally preparing from where to start.

I turned my head towards the random stack of papers on my desk, not bothering about who it was but it was only when she spoke that I felt a sudden knot in my heart. A sudden increase in my pulse accompanied with a burning increase in my temper.

Her "Good morning" further downing my mood. I groaned internally.

One thing I know for sure- I despise that girl!

In her despicable voice she spoke, placing four files onto the table.

"These files are for the project that we are currently working on and this is regarding the one which is yet to undergo further corrections. And this is the one, right here that you asked to keep aside. The rest of the files that you asked for have already been placed on your table in your office."

"Alright Ellie, thanks! I'll be back in some time. You can carry on now."

'Duh! My sister will forever be dumb. This headache standing right under my nose, doesn't deserve to be treated so well. She needs to be chucked off rather immediately.'

I thought to myself as she stood there still not taking her queue.

Alright! So two dumb girls in my office when I'm already on the verge of losing it.

Tapping my fingers, I sat rather patiently.

I can handle this. I just need to breathe. Long, deep breaths!

"Umm, actually Mr. Humaid is waiting in your office. He said he wanted to talk to you... in private."

The moment I heard his name, I actually lost it.

"What? Humaid? What is that vile doing in her office? And you told him to wait? Who do you think you are?

You should've sent him to me."

I couldn't help but shout. Not expecting this, she jumped suddenly, while Minaxshi, being used to how I get when I smell any male nearing her, just rolled her eyes, as she got up huffing.

"Just chill for a sec Div, you're scaring the girl. And don't you dare shout on her as if it's her fault.

She is my employee after all."

"What I don't understand is, what's even the big deal? He's joined with the company so he can come and meet me as per the needs of his side of the contract. I'm not a little girl anymore. I can handle this alright!"

Saying this she left, her little pussycat following in her trail.

I can't believe she's even got my sister blinded by her fakiness.

Her being here can't be fate at all. Neither it can be a simple coincidence.

I know whom she's trying to fool.

If she's here for a game, allow me to give her the best game of her life.
