When the spinning stopped, Ethan found himself standing in a lush, medieval courtyard. Castle towers loomed above him, and the sounds of horses and bustling market folk filled the air. His clothes had changed—he was no longer wearing jeans and a t-shirt but a tunic and leather boots. In the distance, banners fluttered bearing the sigil of a lion, and he realized with awe and fear that he was in the Middle Ages.

Before Ethan could process the enormity of what had happened, a group of armored knights rode past him, their horses kicking up dust. One of them, a stern-faced man with a scar across his cheek, spotted Ethan and halted his horse. "You there! You're not from these lands. What business do you have at King Aldred's court?"

Stumbling for words, Ethan replied, "I, uh… I'm just a traveler."

"Traveler, indeed," the knight scoffed. "You look more like a spy. Come with me, or I'll have you thrown in the dungeons."

Ethan had no choice but to follow, though his heart raced with fear. His adventure through time had begun, but he quickly realized it wasn't the thrilling escapade he had imagined.
