Yui's Struggles

Two days pass as everyone was back to wearing the gravity shoes as well as Vincent who was more of an outside of the group right now since he was the silent type of a person.

He only said something when asked something or when danger was about to strike finding out that the group was quite well organized even if John and Nesiara weren't leading the group.

He came to the conclusion that both would be the leaders but the real leader was Aerith. He found out that she was holding the whole group together because of her personality to caring about anyone.

Even he had to admit that he found a soft spot for her after those two days in Nibelheim with her but also found out that she is in a pinch because of Zack and Kieron.

And he even showed some respect to the Crownguard family to respect her even if one of their members could be hurt because of her.

He watched everything attentively when John takes him away while saying, "We both will have some extra training."

"Why not in the camp?" asks Vincent as John pointed at Zack.

"I don't trust him completely. He survived because a Sephiroth clone saved him most likely and that makes my alarms go wild in my head even if my wife says I shouldn't worry," says John as Vincent could understand John's suspicion of Zack putting it that way.

"Why then let him join?" asks Vincent as why he let someone join that he couldn't trust completely.

"Because of Logan and Jack. You heard of them from us before right," says John as Vincent nods since they told him about the two and Dio.

"Logan wanted us to let Zack join the group. But it wasn't our decision to begin with, but Aerith's and Cloud's decision to make," says John as Vincent nods finding out about that when John says, "I will have to give you a crash course on Haki since it should be fast for a person that came back from the dead."

They begin the training while a pair of eyes were spying on them when Nesiara appears behind those spying pair of eyes and asks, "What are you doing Yui?"

"Just watching what father is doing with that Aura Casanova," says Yui as she was angry with Vincent but not as angry as she was before.

"You can't really give him the fault about what happened. He didn't even choose to become a Demon but was made into one so she could at least some of the guilt she felt for him," says Nesiara as Yui looked at her mother angry.

"But she still did something horrible to her unborn child by allowing Hojo to experiment on it," says Yui as Nesiara couldn't deny it.

"You are right but she paid her price and soon she will rest in peace knowing that her son will be stopped before he can do more harm to the world," says Nesiara as she also couldn't find any sympathy for Lucrecia for what she did to her own child.

"You think she deserves death? For me she should just rot in that crystal," says Nesiara when palm hits her cheek.

"Everyone has the right to die. Even we," says Nesiara angry at her daughter now for saying those words.

Yui was holding her cheek as she left to let her temper out while Nesiara only sighs because she had to hit her own child.

Yui was letting her anger out as some tree fell around her until she was calm again and began to process what her mother meant with 'Everyone has the right to die.'

"*sighs* She is right," says Yui as she wasn't really herself since she went to the Mansion with her parents and that desire for Vincent she felt for a moment brought her even further away.

"I really should leave the group and return to Midgar to look after the children in the Leaf House," says Yui as she was ready to leave again when someone appears in front of her.

"So you want to leave the group just because you have lost yourself," says Jack as Yui turned towards him.

"Yes, I wasn't made to fight," says Yui as Jack laughs at that.

"I wasn't either," says Jack as he summoned two chairs and a table and sit down telling Yui to do the same.

"Or at least that's what I always think. I don't know much of my first life and I really don't want those memories back. But in my second life, there was only that way out for me and that was to fight for my life since I didn't have any future," says Jack as he showed her his past.

"I'm sorry about great-grandma," says Yui as Jack smiles.

"Don't be, she is in a better place now. Anyway in my third life I had many options and I did them all. I was a hero first. Then a mercenary and after that a scientist. But for me to live the life of a scientist I had to sacrifice a lot in fighting so I could protect everything dear to me," says Jack showing Yui his past.

She was seeing everything when Jack says, "You are walking almost the same path as I did. You want to take care of the children in the slums but you won't be able to do it if you don't fight."

"What do you mean?" asks Yui as Jack smiles at her.

"To live a peaceful life you need to be the strongest. That way no one will try to disturb you or the people beside you and for that, you need to fight even if you don't like fighting," says Jack as Yui was now back on her path mentally.

"So even you fought even you didn't like it?" asks Yui as Jack laughed at that.

"Even I fought even if I didn't like it because I had people to protect," says Jack as he showed her the moment he was forced to join the Avengers by Fury.

"Yui just remember that we can't choose our battles. But we can choose if we want to win or lose. We are immortal beings that live a long life and the confusion you are feeling right now is nothing to the confusion you will feel once you reach the 200 years. You will have seen many people dear to you die while you will remain," says Jack as Yui now stood up and left after hugging Jack thanking him for the help.

"She is still the soft girl from Aincrad," says Jack as he looked to the bushes and continues, "You can come out now, Nesiara."

Nesiara came out of the bushes and sits down while saying, "Thank you for getting her back on track."

"She isn't like you or John. She is more like my daughter Eva. Eva never fought her whole life as she hated fighting over everything and only intervened to stop fighting not to win or lose them. She was only forced once to take a side and she regrets it since then," says Jack as Eva was a teacher at Xavier's School for Gifted Children.

"Was that why she didn't come to the wedding?" asks Nesiara as Jack nods.

"Yes, she hasn't talked with the family since that decision. Yui resembles her a bit just that she doesn't have this remorse to choose a side," says Jack as he was showing a sad face.

"How do you see us fighting Doom?" asks Nesiara as Jack sighs.

"It looks quite fair after finishing this world but I made the time go slower on John's world so you can go to the next world as well," says Jack as he didn't want them to fight Doom to early.

"So after the next world we will be fighting him," says Nesiara happy to fight against someone strong when Jack flicks his finger against her forehead.

"Don't get too excited about that and worry about Sephiroth more," says Jack as he disappeared with the stuff as Nesiara was now sitting on air while holding her forehead.

She then returns to the group finding Yui more determined than when she and John tried to motivate her as she thinks, 'It seems you get wiser the older you become.'

The group was camping back in the forest they came from when Yuffie asks, "Why are we going back?"

"We are going to the cave you found last time. Back then we didn't want to enter because of the secret it contains," says Nesiara to Yuffie who was more like a daughter for her than a companion since she needed to watch over her the whole time with John so she doesn't destroy the fauna around her.

"What is in that cave?" asks Barret hearing them.

"In there is a woman trapped in a crystal formed by natural Materia. She is Sephiroth's real mother," says Nesiara as everyone was shocked from hearing that.

"Wait and why are we going there?" asks Zack confused about everything.

"We are going there to help her rest in peace," says Yui as everyone now looked at her.

"You knew?" asks Kieron surprised as Yui nods.

"I found out about it when we were in the Mansion. Sephiroth was experimented on before he was born making his mother quite durable and impossible to kill herself as she had planned. She also knew what Sephiroth would become as she saw visions of it," says Yui as she read the diary of Lucrecia before John gave it to Vincent.

"She didn't even hold her child before it was taken away from her by Hojo who is the father of Sephiroth," says Yui angry and happy at the same time.

She was happy that Hojo was already dead and angry that it wasn't painful enough. She was radiation quite a strong killing intent because of what they did to a child when Vincent and John appeared and see the faces of their companions.

"It seems you found out where we are going," says John as everyone nods and he looks at Vincent and Vincent nods when John continues, "Then I will let Vincent tell you everything he knows about project Jenova and Sephiroth since he was there from the beginning."

"What do you mean?" asks Cloud now as Vincent told them about himself and everything else that happened until now.

They didn't know what to believe and what not since they all see in Sephiroth the absolute evil and not the child that was corrupted to become that way because of the lies he was feed by Shinra and his father. They went to bed quite dispirited that day.
