"You did not need to follow me back to my room," Amelia muttered.

"Now that you no longer have a guard, I will keep an eye on you until I find one of my men who will be fit to guard you. The last one completely gave up and never went back to guarding you. I almost strangled him when I learned he abandoned my order."

"I have a guard," Amelia told Killian as they walked back to her room after dinner. "He is just busy tending to Jahi.
