CHAPTER 219: Sovereign of four empires (1)

As soon as the battle started, the soldiers from jade empire almost cried bitter tears. Although, jade moon kingdom's army is just wearing flimsy silks, it's actually harder than any armor they have. If that's just that then they might just frown, however this people have explosive combat strengths that even veteran soldier's like them were frightened silly.

General chi is also having the same thoughts as his soldiers', he thought his sword was plunged deeply into general chang's chest. He still has a smug expression, but when he saw things clearly his eyes widened in disbelief.

"how could this flimsy robe of yours be better than my gold plated armor?" he shrieked hysterically, he always hated this man since they were still teens. They were once good friends, but he soon started changing as good things only happen to general chang. He can't put up with that, their friendship ends up in tatters as they competed to the extreme. 

To general chang, it wasn't a big deal. However, when general chi started going after his family, that was a different matter. "if you said you wanted to be the general back then, I would have handed it to you with a smile" he said coldly.

Chi ang  gritted his teeth as he lashed madly, "because of you my life becomes a joke, no matter how hard I work and how far I improved no one acknowledge nor take noticed of it. They could only see you and you alone" he hissed crazily, his body trembled and his eyes burned fiercely with unwillingness.

General chang was stunned, he stood there unmoving. He never knew it's like this, he thought he was like this just because he became the general. He looks at his sword stabbing chi ang's heart, his eyes widened as blood oozed painting the soil a river of red.

Chi ang's face contorted unsightly due to pain, he gasped desperately as his face paled. "w-why d-did you came back? When everyone thought you died they finally saw me, why now?" he gasped lowly as his eyes look at general chang full of unwillingness. His eyes trickled with a sad drop of tear before it lost its luster.

General chang stood there in a daze, his heart and his mind are in chaos. Although they won the battle, his mood is a little heavy. He didn't feel any joy at all, they were friends since the day they were born so he couldn't act like it wasn't there.

After a week, yu yue finally returned to hundred flower city. The people cheered when they saw familiar figures appearing in the teleportation array. "welcome back sovereign!" they cheered as they gathered. Everyone was full of smiles, yu yue was enthusiastically welcomed by everyone as they know she would be leaving soon.

That day yu yue gave everyone a speech, they were saddened to see her off. "everyone, don't be so dispirited. We would be meeting; I'm still going to visit here" she said with a helpless smile.

"besides, if you work hard you would eventually soar to greater heights and we would all meet along the way" she cheered their hearts with a charming smile.
