Chapter Five Gone Rogue

Rune's POV

I was walking by the side of the road - yep I ran away but I'll go back, eventually. I just need some space. The only one that would probably know I am gone, is Belle. Mom will be to busy treating dad's wound because I ' threw' a hammer at him.

I didn't know that would happen! I mean, when the hammer was released, I wasn't thinking of a possibility of it hitting him, it caused my parents to yell at me. How could I have been so stupid? My dad might not care about me but that doesn't mean I don't care about him at all - it hurt him. I didn't mean to but they won't believe me.

I left to let them calm down and to let me think. A house's - that was beside where I was walking - porchlight came on. A person rushed out the door towards me. A familiar voice sounded my ears, " Rune - Is that you? What are you doing out? It's almost dark." The voice belonged to Piper - an old friend of mom and dad.

" I needed time away from home. " Piper sighed," Why don't you stay at my house?" " Are you sure?" " Of course dear. Jason and I won't mind. " I sighed and followed her to her house. I stopped at the front door and turned to her," Could you not tell my parents I'm here? We are not in a good mood with each other right now."

She gave me a sad look," I won't tell them but I will if you don't in two days." I sighed - fair enough.

I went inside and a blur hugged my legs. I looked down and saw Ruby - Piper and Jason's four-year-old daughter. They also have a five year old boy named Ruben. " Wuben! Wune's here!" I chuckled as Ruben ran to me hugging the other leg.

I heard someone say from the kitchen," Sweetheart. Who is there?" Piper chirped back to the voice," It's just Rune. She's going to be staying here for a little bit. " I heard the voice groan causing Piper to roll her eyes," Is there something you wanted to say, Jason?"

" No honey. Has Rune ate?" Piper looked at me as I shook my head no. Piper said," No, she hasn't. Jason popped his head out the door that leads to the kitchen. He shook his head," Do they ever feed you?"

" We are not in a talking mood right now. " He asked," Is Belle here too?" I shook my head," No she's at the house probably wondering where the heck I am." " Ran away?" I smiled, making Jason take that as a Yes," What would you like to eat?" I opened my mouth to speak but Piper said," No candy." " Aww. Tacos then?"

Piper giggled and looked at Jason. He sighed and said," Ok. Do you want anything dear?" She said," Tacos also but I want pickles with mine." I looked at her weirdly for a second before looking at Jason, " Are you sure?" A tear fell from her eyes making Jason's eyes widen

" What's wrong sweetheart?" Piper suddenly yelled, "You are trying to stave us!" Wait a second. Is she.....? He replied, repelled by what Piper said," Of course I'm not. I just wanted to make sure that's what you wanted." Another tear fell down her face, " I see how it is! You don't want us!" I ran away from my house so I wouldn't hear them fighting. Now they are?

Piper ran out of the room. Jason had a sad look on his face. I said," Is she by any chance -" He interrupted me, " Yes." I smiled leaning over the counter," What are you going to name him or her?" " I was thinking that if it's a girl, Raven, and if it's a boy, Richman." " Those are very good names."

Jason didn't say anything but stare at the door," You know she didn't mean it. It's just the hormones." He sighed," I know." Jason paused," What was the real reason you ran away?" " Dad and I were fighting over Leo's hammer. My mom said that I could have candy if I let go. You know how I am with candy. "

I stopped and looked at him," I did let go of the hammer. Dad fell back and the hammer hit his left cheek. Both of them got mad accusing me of throwing it. I had to calm down so I left through the window." Jason asked," Why did you have Loe's hammer in the first place?"

I sighed," They were fighting again - I was sick of it and got mad. I began to smash things and dad tried to grab it." Jason said," It's not your fault. It was an accident. " Yeah but that's enough about me. You should start cooking, I'll go talk to her." His eyes widened. He forgot to even cook the food, didn't he?

He took off running towards the kitchen. " Ruby, Ruben! Go brush your teeth and get ready for bed." They ran up the stairs. I went to, what I remember, where Jason and Piper's bedroom was.

I knocked on the door and heard Piper yell," Go the heck away Jason!" " Piper? It's Rune. Can I come in?" Piper peeked through the door. " Is Jason with you?" I said," No he's in the kitchen fixing us something to eat."

Piper's eyes widened," You mean he didn't want us to stave?" " No. Now why didn't you tell me you guys are having another child?" She said," We were going to tell you soon. I'm sorry my hormones are just everywhere."

I chuckled as she said," Jason must be so hurt right now. I got to say sorry to him." I declared," I got the children. They should be getting ready for bed right now." She chuckled," The children will do anything you say." I replied," Yeah. Now go get your man."

Piper walked to the door and turned around." I wish your dad would see how sweet you are and that you're not that bad. " I affirmed," Me too Piper." I whispered," Me too."
