After that, the discussion steered away from Dan, which was sort of a relief for him.

After the end of the discussion, Aurora asked the prince for a private time with Dan. He agreed.

Butler guard the door , the prince and count left. Aurora was sitting on a chair. Rays of sunlight shone on her now completely purple hair. Her hair fluttered slightly in the spring breeze, her pale skin made a contrast to her purple hair. Her appearance was truly Otherworldly.

Dan moved closer and hugged her, burying his face in her bosom. She held him tightly and whisperd "We can't honey. Not now. But I promise, one day."

"Did we have to go through all this? Why are you doing this? I don't mind going to war for you. But at least tell me something.." he said in low voice as he separated from her body.

She bits her lips seemingly torn between doing something and not doing it.

She sighed " my love. If we stop gathering power and live a seculded life, a tranquil life, a life you an i desire so much. Then when those who noticed the bloodline awakening come , what will we do?"

Dan always thought that she was exaggerating about this unseen enemy. But compared to her previous uncertainty, she now looked more certain about this matter.

"Have you found out anything? Is there a threat nearby?" He asked, slightly tensed.

She smiled and said, "Don't worry, the world is vast, and the Golden Star Kingdom is just one of many places in the world." Dan nodded slightly and said, "Will you be alright when I am away?"

She squeezed his hand and said, "Don't worry. I will be safe; soon the whole of the Royal Palace...." She winked at him.

"If you say so. I trust you, my love." He bent and slowly kissed her rosy lips.

She answered his tongue with her own.

After a few seconds, she pulled away. "Go now. I want you to survive and be victorious. I will try hard to make us powerful." She said it playfully, rubbing his bulge, which sent a shiver through his body.

Training began the next st day. The count ordered to prepare his temporary lodging and he moved to the castle. Prince and Aurora also departed at the same time of his first day of training. He felt a bit sad about her departure but there was nothing he could do.

So instead he just focused on his training. Count Marcus proved to be very good teacher. He could see his flaws and point his mistake's for him to correct. He was very impressed by his strength. Apparently the battle type awakeneds were hard to come by. Most people failed their awakening and the rest who did had mostly random abilities.

So the battle type ones always were few and much wanted among various forces. Even Count was secretly surprised of how the Prince Mariuru had this card in his sleeves.

Of course he didn't think the one responsible for recruiting him was Aurora. Prince loved to fool around the women and naturally Aurora was one of them.

Dan occasionally sparred with the count but most of the time he just the guards to spar with him. After around a month he was more proficient with weapons and he mostly used spear which was comfortable with various type of enemies.

This month he finnaly hit the bottleneck (after surges of power passing through him numerous times) and reached the second level.

He felt he could increase his output at least two fold compared to before but he decided to do otherwise. He felt the time was not right for revealing his card and if someone could find a out his progressive increase of power it would cause an uproar.

For a field training the count decided to give him a chance in woods and subduing some beasts.

On the fifth week of his training they set out to the nearby forest with around twelve men accompanying him and the count.

Their goal was to hunt some low to mid level beasts.

"You must pay close attention to the beasts movements. They mostly posses physical abilities while small portion of them have Mystical abilities. If you encounter them one must tread carefully. Some have straightforward abilities like blazing horns while some would have more abstract abilities like controling beasts of forest." Count Marcus said while leading through the forest.

Howls of animal and beast could be heard from afar. As they delved deeper in the woods their vigilance increased. In a clearing they reached a lake.

" We will camp tonight." The count said.

Soon a campfire and some tents formed some distance away from the shore of the lake.

"This area is dwelling of some mid level beasts. So stay sharp."

The night was without any incident. On the second day they hunted some low level beasts and Dan found that he could easily obliterate one, as for the mid level beasts they didn't encounter any.

At the afternoon of the third day they once again camped near the lake. Getting ready to cook dinner, a roar sounded from the depth of forest. Group immediately became alert as they picked up their weapons and got in the position. Sound of something moving through jungle draw closer. The group atmosphere was solemn.

"Its probably a mid grade one." The count spoke.

Soon the tree line parted and a dark red furred beast emerged. Although it resembled a boar, it wasn't the usual and common one. It had over two meter height and about six meter length. Its bulky body spoke of tons of muscles and its huge tusks were more than one and half meter long. It slowly draw closer to the shore.

"Its a Great Red Boar, fortunately its a mid level beast. As for its hunting….." The count whispered and took a glance at Dan. "Dan, you hunt it." He said.

"By myself?" Dan voiced his doubt. He wasn't afraid of the beast. 'If it force my hand then revealing my strength would be unwise..' He though sighed.

Count thought he is being reluctant and spoke again "its ability lies in strengthening muscles. So it has rather simple one, aim for ankles and head. Once down it would be over."

Dan nodded, picked up his spear and get closer to the beast which was now drinking drinking water from the lake.

After few steps it noticed him and raised its head. The beast grunted in an intimidating voice and swing its head to the sides.

'Shit. It's too good at sensing danger.' Dan, who was getting closer and would occasionally hide behind some boulders and rocks, cursed.

Having no other choice, he came to open his eyes and face the beast. Upon closer inspection, the beast was enormous and even more intimidating.

The beast stomped its hooves on the ground and intimidated Dan, yet Dan didn't back off, and taking initiative, he moved to the side of the beast. The enraged beast swung its head to the side and wanted to stop him from getting closer, but its tusk met Dan's spear. A dull sound was created upon contact, and Dan seemed to struggle a bit to keep his footing.

'Damn, now I have to pretend to be weak.'

He shook his head at these thoughts and retreated one step while holding the spear straight in his hand. The beast wanted to overrun it as it jumped forward, but Dan used this opportunity and slashed its hind leg.

*Roar*

Its painful roar caused Dan's ears to buzz. The beast, sensing danger, ran toward the tree line. Dan caught the opportunity and jumped at its back, burying the tip of his spear deep in its flesh. Nevertheless, it never ceased running, and Dan kept stabbing it with his dagger. After leaving the clearing and everybody's view, Dan pushed the spear a little harder, causing the beast to slow down. With numerous wounds on its body and a spear buried deep inside, hitting internal organs, the beast's fate was sealed.

That night, Dan, for the first time in his two lives, voluntarily killed a person.
