Chapter 70: Inescapable Marriage
“Yes, mom,” Rayan answered Melody’s phone call, and he said, “I will be in within an hour or so,” He thought that his mother was calling to know when he would be at home.
“It is your wife. She is at the hospital.” Melody said.
“What is it now? What is wrong with her?” Rayan carelessly asked.
“If you will show up with this attitude, then don’t come.” Melody hung up the phone.
Rayan left his office and went to the hospital.
His mother was in the emergency room with Jasmine, who had an IV of pain medications and slept.
“She was fine in the afternoon, and she was ready for a new drama.” Then, Rayan paused, seeing his mother’s irritated face.
“Do you think it is a good time for your humor?” his mother asked.
Rayan sat next to her and said, “I apologize. But what happened?”
