The Abroad Vacation

Meanwhile, Aman was in a different room still thinking about what Luo Li had said. The fire in his room had already extinguished without leaving any trace.

He could not believe that he had threatened her. But in his defence, she clearly crossed the line.

Nobody could accuse him for forgetting his revenge or Him. As he told Luo Li, for a second he could forget breathing but he could never forget Him.

His loving voice still sounds in his ears every minute. He still feels like that one day he would wake up in their Palace. He would tell him that whatever he was facing right now was only a nightmare. Now both of them can live like before. His nightmare has ended…

But….he knew all of this was true. His world has already been destroyed. How could he forget that incident.

How could he forget the beastliness of Mei Wang, Melvin Evans, Kevin Evans and Sage Saetang. 

How could he forget their vicious laugh full of mercilessness.

How could he forget his pleading to them. To let them go. The first time he pleaded in front of some humans for mercy.

How!! could he forget Him when his face still haunts him every night…..

Thoughts like these were starting to cover his head. His mind was filled with many different emotions at the same time. The emotions of anger, regret, self loathing…

He was getting angry again.But this time this anger was not aimed at Luo Li but his own self. He was angry at his helplessness. He was angry that he could not do anything to prevent the incident.

He looked at his hands. Ten pale, long slender fingers and red tinted palms. He felt his powers running inside them. The very hands that held so much power right now but which were completely powerless at that time. His powers flared around his aura. His eyes suddenly started to turn into snake eyes. 

Suddenly, a feeling of regret took over his entire being. Because he felt that maybe he did not try well enough to plead in front of Mei Wang and his friends. Maybe if he did everything could be avoided. 

Suddenly, a knock on his door interrupted his thoughts. He looked at the still closed doors. Luo Li had closed them while leaving.

He heard Mei Wei's calling on the other side, "Aman, may I come in?"

Aman took a moment to realise what Mei Wei said. When he regained consciousness, he quickly tried to change his distorted form. He composed his mannerisms and changed his eyes into normal one's again. He said, "Of course my prince. Please come inside."

Mei Wei silently opened the door and entered inside. He looked around the room. Everything was at their usual place. But he still had a lingering doubt in his mind.

The reason for this was because Aman never shut his doors. Mei Wei had once asked him the reason behind this.

"So I can escape when needed", Aman had answered him strangely. But today the door was shut. 

Mei Wei looked at Aman's face. The face was still as beautiful as ever. Mei Wei even felt that the beauty was increasing with each passing day.

His fare and pale skin was shining with glow. The big doe like eyes seemed to pierce his heart each time looking at him. The cheekbones and lips which were like pink roses. 

It was getting difficult for Mei Wei to focus on anything else when the face of his beloved looked at him with full curiosity. He did not know how to control his heart beat which was increasing rapidly.

He was looking thoroughly at Aman's face when he found that his face was tinted with unusual red colour. He frowned and quickly sat beside Aman, "Aman, why is your face flushed? Did you cry? Are you I'll? Or, or are you angry at someone? Tell me their name and I will beat them to the pulp."

Mei Wei's voice was etched with worry. He was bombarding Aman with questions meanwhile checking Aman's temperature. He felt extremely uneasy if Aman was even in a little discomfort. By seeing Aman's red face he instantly started guessing the reason behind his red face about which he was aware.

Aman was completely speechless by Mei Wei's actions. He looked at Mei Wei dumbfoundedly. He could not believe that Mei Wei could guess the reason for his flushed face accurately.

He took Mei Wei's hand which was on his forehead in both his hands and tried to make an excuse, "my prince don't worry I am fine. It's just a little fever."

But how could Mei Wei not worry when his beloved had a fever. After hearing this he panicked even more, "Fever! You have a fever! Why didn't you tell me before? We must consult with a doctor as soon as possible. Let's go right now."

Mei Wei said while grabbing Aman's hand to drag him to the hospital. When he was going to pull Aman, Aman pulled him back. He said, "my prince listen to me please. I am not that ill. It's just a mere fever. I have already taken my medication. I will be alright in a few hours."

But Mei Wei still tried to protest, "but.. but.."

However Aman grasped his hand more tightly, "believe me. I will be alright. Okay."

At last Mei Wei accepted his defeat, "okay. But, you have to tell me if you are even in the least bit of discomfort."

Aman displayed a bright smile and nodded his head. The uneasy feeling in Mei Wei's heart somewhat subsided if not completely vanished.

Aman focused on Mei Wei's concerned face. His heart melted at the moment. How could he not care about this boy's feelings who made him realise that if there are slag humans like Mei Wang in this world, there are also kind and loving humans.

Mei Wei was the reason behind his change of opinion on humans. When he first entered the human world, he thought every human was the same as Mei Wang and his friends. Completely heartless and sadistic. He could not even trust Mei Wei's grandfather at first. However, Mei Wei changed everything.

He was still thinking about his loving moments spent with Mei Wei, when Mei Wei suddenly spoke, "oh! I remember I am here to apologise to you Aman."

At hearing this Aman was quite confused. He looked at Mei Wei questionably.

Mei Wei then, further explained, "I want to apologise on the behalf of my father. I know he doesn't deserve your forgiveness but I feel bad for you. He proposed that you live with your harrasar. I feel disgusted with just thinking about this.

I still can't believe he let Kevin stay in the house even after knowing what he tried to do to you. I hate him."

Aman now understood the meaning of Mei Wei's apology. He commented, "no my prince, you should not apologise. It was not your fault in any way. On the contrary you tried to stop all of that. You even fought with your own father for me. I am pretty grateful to you."

How could he accept Mei Wei's apology when it was him who persuaded Mei Wei to let Kevin stay in the house alongside with them, "and if that is the case I should be the one to apologise. A few days ago I was the one who persuaded you to let him live in the house. If I haven't done that it might not have happened at all." His smile faltered and sadness covered his face.

"Hey! Cutie pie. No matter how cute you are, you can't blame my Aman for something about which he did not know. I will not tolerate it. My Aman is the best. He took the right decision. Stop it now! Otherwise I will pinch your cheeks till they are swollen!"

Mei Wei started behaving childlike with him again. Hearing his tone Aman smiled a little bit but not completely. Mei Wei humphed and pinched Aman's cheeks.

Of course Aman did not feel any pain because Mei Wei didn't pinch painfully but playfully. On the opposite he smiled broadly and covered his cheeks with his hands.

He thought about all the events that happened today. He sighed as he thought about a thing he could not get out of his mind, "my prince I should thank you for standing by my side today."

Mei Wei frowned and replied, "Aman you don't need to thank me. Of course I will always stand by your side. The circumstances or situation doesn't matter."

Aman shook his head, "it's not only that. You even fought with your father and punched him. Since I entered this house, no matter how much nonsense he spouts towards you, you never raise his hand on him. But today... today you did in order to protect my dignity."

Mei Wei waved his hand in a non caring manner, "of course! he crossed all of his limits today! He said- he said…. How could he say such a thing about my precious and pure Aman? He must have a death wish...

Mei Wei sighed and took a deep breath. He was lost in the memories of his thorny childhood. His tone was filled with sadness, "I still remember the day when the first time he raised his hand on me…..... I was used to him raising his voice and never liking anything I did….

I was a naive and innocent child who wanted to have a loving father as the other children did. So, I tried everything that my little hands could do to impress him….

In between those efforts, one day I made a paper plane out of his secret documents. To say that he was not happy would be an understatement. 

That was the first time he raised his hand on me….He- He called me an unwanted burden whom he was completely fed up.

I returned back to my room. The hope of getting a loving father and my efforts died that day….

The days passed like that. I stopped all of my efforts. But even whatever I did was a problem in his eyes. He started hitting me every once in a while….

One day I also lost my senses and tried to hit him but grandpa was there. He stopped me. He said that I should never hit my father no matter how he behaved.

When I asked the reason he told me it was filial piety which we must follow. He took a promise from me that I would never hit my father.

But I knew. I had seen it in his eyes that he didn't want to see his son get beaten by his grandson. He always said he despised his son but I knew better. I knew he could not see his son in any kind of pain…."

Mei Wei explained his story to Aman. Aman rubbed his thumb over Mei Wei's hand in a soothing way, "but you broke that promise today for me…."

Mei Wei's eyes shone, "of course I would do anything for you. Moreover, I think his promise also passed away with him. Nobody can say that- that kind of thing for you. Beating a person is a little thing I can even kill someone gladly if they say anything against my Aman. My father is also included."

Aman suddenly retreated his hands, Mei Wei was still confused when Aman hugged him tightly. Mei Wei instantly hugged him back. He relaxed in his bosom. Mei Wei felt all the worries leaving his body when he was in the arms of his beloved…

Both of them hugged for quite a time. None of them spoke anything. The silence was not awkward but relaxing and peaceful.

Mei Wei asked, still in Aman's arms, "so where are we going to live for the time being? Grandpa left me many properties aside from Mei Mansion. What is your preference? We might live in another town so we don't have to face them. But no this option won't do as sister Li had a business deal with them. What should we do?"

Aman put his head on Mei Wei's broad shoulder. He started playing with the other's fingers. He had an idea, "how about taking a vacation to another country for a few days?"

Mei Wei's eyes lit up after hearing the idea. But he quickly realised something, "no all of my work is pending here and sister Li may not agree."

Aman looked directly at him, "my prince, please we would be gone for a few days. The decision of the true ownership of this house will be out by then.

Sister Li has already agreed. Please let's go. You should also take a break from work. Your exams just ended yesterday. And now all of this unwanted drama happened. You must relax your mind. After this your efficiency of work will be increased."

"Please let's go. Pretty please", Aman showed Mei Wei his puppy dog eyes. How could he say no to this face. If in this way Aman asked for his life he would give it to him happily. Going for a vacation was a pretty small thing. He again pinched Aman's cheeks and laughed, "okay, my highness. Your wish is my command. Let's go abroad for a vacation…"
