Chapter 1: The reincarnation.

Typing on his computer, and doing his homework digitally. Until he felt hungry and tired.

'I'm hungry! I'll just grab something to eat at the convenience store.'

Haruto thought as he got up from his computer desk and went downstairs to check if anything was in the fridge. His family is currently on vacation overseas with his younger sister. They were leaving Haruto with the responsibility of taking care of the house alone.

Although his parents pleaded with him to go with them, he opted to stay at home to keep an eye on things for his parents. At first, they were hesitant to leave him alone at home, but when they saw that he could take care of himself they agreed to leave him at home.

'..... I knew it. There is nothing in this fridge...' There was nothing in the fridge, at least nothing eatable.

Feeling lazy and didn't want to cook, he left the house and went to the convenience store.

"Thank you for shopping here!"

"Welcome." Haruto bought his snacks and some other stuff and left the store feeling happy. While walking back to the house, he saw someone from his school. More Specifically a girl from his class.

It was already night and kind of strange for him to see someone from his school out so late, especially someone like her, who doesn't go out at night.

'Misaki-chan? What is she doing all alone here? Oh, it's the school's festival.'

Misaki is the most popular and prettiest girl in Haruto's school. Almost all the boys have a crush on her, including Haruto himself.

Screams echoed through the evening sky, as a speeding car headed towards the lovely Misaki. The vehicle was out of control and driving towards Misaki...

"Watch out, Misaki-chann!!" Haruto yelled out, getting her attention. He dived in front of the car, pushing her out of the car's way.

(Car brakes)

'Well, I guess it's the end for me. At least I get to save a beauty like Misaki..'

Lying on the ground and in pain, Haruto couldn't help but think back on his life; all of the things he could not do, all the memories he made with friends and family, he couldn't believe that his life was coming to an end. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Misaki crying uncontrollably, although he barely knew her.

"Are you okay, Haruto-kun?" She asked with tears running down her face. "Please don't die on me!"

"Hehe, I'll be alright. Don't worry about me." Haruto replied with a smile on his face.

He was trying to assure her that he was going to be fine, that everything was going to be all right. Although he was in pain and struggling, he didn't want anyone to worry about him.

"That's good to hear. Just stay with me!" Misaki said to him, as she held onto his hand.

He smiled at her.

Suddenly his consciousness began to fade away, with every second that passed by his consciousness drifted. He didn't have the strength to fight, and his consciousness faded away.

"....."

...

Sometime later, Haruto found himself in a dark unrecognizable place. When he tried to move his body he either didn't have the strength to move, or he wasn't in his body. To him, the feeling that he was experiencing was an unreal one. Was he experiencing Astral projection, or he was in a coma?

'Where am I? Am I really in a coma, or did I die?'

'If I am truly dead, then is this what dying feels like?'

"This is weird..."

'This is the weirdest thing I have experienced! I can't explain it, but if I did I would say this feels like I'm lying in water that has a high pressure or I have heavy weights all over my body... but I can't feel the aches or pains.'

He tried to speak but the words could barely come out. 'I hope Misaki is doing all right and I hope that she didn't get traumatized by the accident...'

Haruto couldn't help but ponder on the fact that he couldn't accomplish his dreams if he was truly dead. All the memories he had made with his family and friends had gone down the drain. All of a sudden, a bright light enveloped his body while he was deep in his thoughts and before he knew it, he began to regain his consciousness.

'What the heck is happening? Am I waking from my coma or something?'

When Haruto opened his eyes for the first time since the accident, the first thing he saw was the doctor checking his heartbeat and pulse. He felt happy that he had gained back his consciousness...

He had found himself in a strange room surrounded by strange people who were smiling. The room looked like it was out of a painting or a Disney movie castle, or like the castles from Europe.

"....Where am I?" Haruto asked with a confused look on his face.

He was observing the people who were in the room carefully, not trying to make any mistakes. Everyone was wearing expensive clothes.

"Calm down, son... everything will be all right," A man said to him.

'Mom, dad...? No, these people don't look like my parents! Shouldn't my little sister be here also? Something is wrong here...'

"Doctor, is our son okay?! Are there any implications with him?" A woman asked the doctor.

The doctor stared at the couple and stared at Haruto and hesitated to speak as if he was trying to hide something.

"Well, my Lord...."

"I order you to speak. I swear by the Gods that I won't get angry."

"Hurry up and begin!"

The doctor heaved a heavy sigh before he began to explain the results.

"Ahem, well, your son's vitals are fine, all that he needs to do is rest and recover. Remember, he just woke from a coma and he needs all the rest in the world," the doctor explained. "Please don't forget to give him some water and soft food. I will take my leave now, my Lord and my Lady."

The doctor packed up his equipment and excused himself from the room, leaving the woman and man with Haruto.

'Hmm... where am I...? Wasn't I dead a few seconds ago? This must be an illusion or something...' Haruto pondered.

He tried to figure out how he got to this place. At one point he had been in a dark realm, but now he was in a room surrounded by two strange people...The room wasn't the hospital or anywhere he knew. It just looked strange.

"Oh, finally you're awake.." A female's voice said to him.

'Wha, who are you people? And where am I?'

The woman hugged him and said, "Finally you're awake, Leon dear." And the man who was standing next to her joined in too.

'So that means that these two are my new parents? Hmm, and I got isekai'd.'
