Shy, Not Shy

Zaya POV

The dinner went on perfectly. Our laughs filled the room until it was well after midnight. It was the perfect scene of friends enjoying time together. The only thing that would have made it more perfect is if Anna was here.

As the night wound down, Alex and Audrey excused themselves. He innocently claimed he was only walking her to her room. I could tell the conversation between her and me tomorrow was going to be quite interesting.

“Are you ready for bed?” Godric asked me.

My wolf became frantic as we both realized something. Tonight would be the first time Godric and I would sleep in the same room together. Alone. The last time we were in a bed together, it was harmless. Anna was sleeping in the room. And both of us were fully clothed.

And to make things more innocent, Godric lay above the covers, and I was underneath. A thin layer of fabric separating us. Back then, neither of us knew we were mated. I was only days away from getting my wolf.
