I had a bad feeling when I caught Ari and Bri looking at us mockingly during the ceremony. Were they scheming something? Probably. But I didn't want to think much about it.
After all, we were all together, and Fynn, Vito, and Tessa would never allow those two sisters to bully us.
And what would they do? In this place, Ari and Bia couldn't force us to do menial chores, so at most, they could say mean things.
It feels like a long time since Luca, Ash, and I officially left that place.
Now we all had jobs and were close to Serina and Mateo. Not like a family, but we WERE a family, which did wonders to our confidence.
With Luca, Ash, and me together, I would doubt that those two would dare to cause trouble, but the fact was that Ash still considered himself as an outsider among the three of us, and Luca's attitude didn't help. I hoped no one would notice this discord.
