Meanwhile- In Hypnosis Therapy:
"Close your eyes and imagine yourself on a beach. You're relaxed, the salty air is blowing through your hair. Everything is calm and nothing is stressing you out..."
"Nothing is stressing me out. I am 100% calm!"
"Good, now let's talk about your past. When did your trauma first begin?"
"When I was 12 my parents divorced, I had to say goodbye to my mother. I haven't seen her since!"
"Okay, now how about your teen years?"
"I was bullied everyday at my high school, so when I turned 17 I said goodbye to my family and friends and started traveling."
"Okay, how about you talk to me about what you saw in your travels?"
"Well, first I went to see the places in the US where I wanted to go. Everything was fine there, I visited Florida, New York, Louisiana, Texas, and...Seattle!"
"Alright, what happened in Seattle?"
"I was at a restaurant when suddenly a man appeared. He was dressed in all black, but somehow he lit up the room. I instantly knew I liked him, but I didn't know how to approach him. So I went into the bathroom and made my outfit look better, then on my way out I walked very close to him so he'd follow me. That way I could speak to him alone. My plan was working, he followed me out, but he brushed passed me into a dark alley. I followed him thinking he was leading me into there on purpose, but he wasn't...or at least I don't think he did. I saw the man with a woman, he was kissing her neck. But when he pulled away from her she fell to the ground, I gasped and he heard me. I tried running but he appeared in front of me like magic!"
"Okay, then what happened?"
"I was paralyzed in fear. I didn't know what this man was going to do to me, would he hurt me like he did to that lady, or would he do something even worse. I could barely blink in that moment of fear and weakness. He neared his mouth to my ear and whispered 'Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. I simply want your blood!' And it was in that moment that I realized...this man is a- a vampire!"
"Ah, a vampire you say. Please, do continue."
"Alright. After he whispered that I couldn't see what was going on, it was pitch black outside, but I saw a red glow in his eyes, and the next thing I knew I felt two sharp piercings in my neck. It felt like a needle, but a very thick needle. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. I couldn't move or say a word no matter how much I wanted to. It's like in my mind I knew I had to stay still, even if I didn't want to. Then when he was done I heard a gushing sound, then something that tasted like sour red wine was pushed to my lips. The man forced me to drink it. I did and when it was gone I felt better, like nothing ever happened in the first place."
"So this 'vampire' did you ever see him again after that night?"
"No, I wasn't even sure if it was real until a few hours later. I was so stunned by what had happened that I started drinking, I was drunk by the time I walked out of that restaurant. I knew it was dangerous to be behind the wheel, but I couldn't afford a taxi and I couldn't walk back to my hotel because it was miles away. I turned the key and as soon and the engine started blowing I sped off, but it was only seconds later that I felt myself being launched through my car windshield."
"Okay, now tell me...how did you survive?"
"I can only speculate what happened after I blacked out. I was in the hospital and there was a man waiting on me to wake up. He said he was the person in the car I crashed into. I apologized, but he said it was unnecessary. He looked fine so I didn't feel as bad, except for his car. Then a doctor came in and looked shocked so I asked why. He told me that only minutes after I arrived at the hospital I was dead, and that it had been hours since then. I looked around the room strangely, I felt...different. I tried sitting up and I felt fine. Well, about as fine as you can be after being thrown out of your car. The man I hit checked me out of the hospital and helped get me to my hotel. Once we got there he asked what happened last night. He was a stranger, but I felt like opening up my heart to him. I explained everything with the strange man and how I was driving irresponsibly, but he seemed calm. Almost like he knew what happened, or had seen it before. I asked him what was wrong with me, and he said that I was in transition...of becoming a vampire!
