The group of friends had been traveling together for a while now, looking for talented individuals to join their team. Along the way, they had looted an entire mall and cleared an entire city. As they settled down to rest and cook their dinner, Emily showed Yuki and Stacy a cooking tip.

Stacy groaned. "Not you too, old man. Spare us your 'back in my day' stories."

"What do the military want?" he asked again, his eyes darting from one soldier to another.

"We don't work for the military," another soldier said, stepping forward.

"We work for the government," the soldier said, his tone flat and emotionless.

The group was shocked.

"Government!? That's bullshit! The government has been long dead!" Stacy shouted knowing their just spouting nonsense

"Stacy, the daughter of General Roger of the military, Now I know that you won't believe us this easily, The commander in chief might be the ruler of this new country but that doesn't mean the government has been dead, We want you to accept a mission, The last request of the government" One of the soldiers took his mask off.

"Wait... Secretary Roy?" Stacy was shocked of what she saw, "Roy?" Souta asked "Secretary Roy, The person the president is very close to and has known as his best friend since childhood" Stacy explained "Oh? So the government was still alive after all this time" Souta said calmly

"Well, Not for long, We are the last government team that has been left, The president and other higher-ups have been killed by either zombies or that crazy commander in chief!"

"It's because of that guy! Our plan has been ruined!" Roy said "Plan?" Souta asked "Operation Patient Zero, Patient Zero is the person that has been bitten by a zombie but has not turned into one" Roy said

"What!? That's impossible! for a person to not turn into a zombie after getting a bite is not possible!" Emily shouted

They bring out Patient Zero, And It was a small Girl that has a green hair and emerald green eyes, "Show them" Roy ordered the girl, The girl show her arm and it was indeed bitten.

Souta's group was shocked, "Is she Okay?" Souta asked, "This girl has been bitten since the start of the apocalypse, She is an orphan and I want you to take this request of ours, Take her to an Island 1000 kilometers away from here, there should be a military base and scientists that is making a cure right now" Roy requested

"But why don't you take it? From the looks of it you have these soldiers highly trained, It should be easy for you guys to make it" Souta said, They all start to take their armor off and all of them have been bitten including Roy

"As you can see we can't even make it to half, We have been searching for a worthy person to accept this mission" Roy said

"And I am That worthy Person?" Souta asked

"Yes, You are indeed worthy, We do not have time, Take her, Remember to treat her well" Roy said "Now leave! before..." the virus is taking effect "We... bite you!" Souta and his team quickly gather their belongings and get inside the armored vehicle.

Souta looked back and saw them smiling knowing that they have been released and finished their mission, They were all kneeling and shot their own head. The gun shot was heard even from the distance.
