" Prissy !!!! " Miss Helbel called out to her daughter who was staring blankly at the wall

" why are you still sulking over your result. drop worrying everything will be alright after all you were above 60% right " she whispered softly

'' No Mom you don't understand the feeling of being compared to her and you know even though we are best friends we are always treated differently. while she's always treated like a goddess I am being treated like a nonentity '' prissy sobbed

After prissy had calmed down her mother continued

" Prissy dear listen to me you can't keep thinking like that it's not easy for Angelica to get to that point it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to . " her Mom said

" Mom are you trying to say that I am not hardworking and dedication " Prissy blurted out before she could stop herself

" No dear you don't understand. what I am trying to say is that you shouldn't compare yourself with others Angelica might be your best friend but you all have different abilities and goal " her mother advised

" I am not done talking " Her mother snapped.

" Prissy dear remember everything in life has to with foundation and as you know you don't have a solid foundation of studying so stop comparing yourself with others " Her mother sighed

" Mom you know that it was not my fault as I didn't have enough motivation then but now I am trying my best but it seems my best isn't enough and you know Mom I don't think life is worth living if I can't be the best " Prissy blurted out.

" Prissy dear why are you reasoning like this just because you are not the best doesn't mean life is not worth living. listen if you continue reacting like this how do you expect people who had below 50% to react " her mom advised

" Mom I don't care about that cus teachers in our school often looks down on us like we are dullards and I really hate it. I really do Mom" Prissy ranted

" Prissy since you know somewhere deep in your heart that you are not a failure then you don't have to worry about what people say or do, just ignore them.

you have to be wise and not be frustrated for like the saying goes " there's hope for a tree if it's not cut down from the root " as it will sprung up so prissy please change your train of thoughts stop thinking of quitting you are still a young girl beautiful , smart and courageous so please reconsider please prissy " her Mom pleaded

" Alright Mom I will think about it and thanks for being there for me cus I don't know what I would have done without you " Prissy said

" you welcome dear and I hope you have calmed down now " Her Mom asked

" yes Mom I have " Prissy smiled

" Alright go freshen up , your friends will be here soon " her mom reminded
