"Hurry! Nam!" Kalan rolled his eyes hearing the villagers call him a deity.
"Yes! Yes! It's this way!" Nam was also shocked by the water that appeared out of Kalan's hands. He knew just how much his village had suffered due to the drought. They not only had to starve, the children were also malnourished. Yet they had to save all the money they had for Nam's travel expenses.
"The well is obviously cracked, no matter how much water is filled, it will just leak out." Kalan observed the well and saw the cracks at the bottom.
Kalan put his hand on the well and repaired it, he did not need to fully materialize a new well, and could use it to repair the broken parts. After building his dojo, he had gotten much more proficient in Magic Materialization.
"Amazing! Are you really not a deity sent to save our village?" Nam exclaimed.
"Oh my god! If you keep cal-" Kalan was just about to curse out when suddenly the system sounded out.
[Beep! Host can receive more Faith Energy if your worshipers worship you more zealously. It is advised to let the villagers worship host as a god.]
"Oh I forgot I can also have these people worship me! I kept thinking of my dojo and forgot my actual goals!" Kalan patted his head.
"Never mind, Nam it's fine if you let the villagers worship me as a deity. But you're going to be my student so call me teacher instead." Kalan thought for a bit and said.
"Yes, teacher!" Nam obediently obeyed after seeing Kalan's powers.
"Good! Let me fill up the well now." Kalan said and put his hand over the well opening. He continuously materialized water until the well was filled.
"There! All done." Kalan smiled.
"Thank you for saving my village, teacher." Nam bowed deeply in gratitude.
"Thank you great deity!" The villagers after seeing the well repaired and filled to the brim with water shed tears of gratitude. They went on their knees and prayed.
"Alright let's go then." Kalan said and jumped on his cloud.
"Come on Nam." Seeing how slow Nam was, Kalan used his telekinesis and picked Nam up again.
"Great deity where are you taking Nam?" The villagers asked curiously after seeing Nam 'float' over to the cloud.
"He's going to learn under me. Well, once he finish the basics, he'll be allowed to earn one of these clouds. Then he can often come visit you." Kalan thought and said.
"I- I can have such an amazing cloud?" Nam asked in surprise. If he had such a wonderful cloud to travel with, he would not worry where he was. He could travel over the world!
"Of course! But you need to complete a trial to earn it. Once you finish learning the basics. I'll send you over to do the trial. It'll also make it easier for you travels." Kalan said, he thought that Nam would miss his village and with the Flying Nimbus as a reward. Nam would be more motivated in learning martial arts.
Kalan flew to his dojo in Eastlands.
"We've arrived!" The journey took a few hours.
"By the way, if you master all the martial arts I have for you. I'll help your village solve the drought problem. The water in the well will eventually be used up. Of course once you finish your studies under me, you will be an instructor of my dojo." Kalan said as he thought it would motivate Nam more.
"I'll do my best, teacher." Nam nodded.
"This is... Kalan's dojo...?" Nam read the dojo board at the entrance.
"Well... My name is... Kalan." Kalan said awkwardly.
"Enough of that, let's learn some real martial arts!" Kalan quickly changed the subject
Nam did not have a good teacher to teach him. But he still had a good foundation, he could already vaguely sense Ki, that could have been attributed to his constant meditations. He was very proficient in meditation and very patient. Making Kalan very happy as meditation would normally take a long time to train up in. Kalan taught the martial arts he learned from Mr. Popo. To empty one's mind, move faster than lightning, perfectly control one's body without making the bell tied to you sound.
Kalan also materialized a hundred blue gi with his dojo name on the back. He couldn't have all his dojo members shout out the name of the dojo each time they went out. Naturally he would advertise his dojo with his clothes. It was a normal practice as both Kami, Master Roshi and the Crane Hermit all did the same. The clothes were somewhat similar to his own clothes.
Kalan also made weighted clothes for Nam to train with. He did have a good foundation, but he was too skinny. Kalan wanted him to build up some muscles, but not balloons without strength like body builders. But rather slim and well defined muscles packed with explosive force for battle. Kalan also plagiarized Master Roshi's training. He made a big farm and let Nam till the field and also plant vegetables. He could chose to do it with his hands like Goku and Krillin, or with a heavy hoe. It was something necessary to keep the dojo running, Kalan wasn't going to take trips to the East City which was over 100 km north of his dojo all the time to stock up on food. The members of his dojo have to be self-sufficient.
There were no places to live in the dojo, the inside of the dojo was filled with training equipments, tools and meditation rooms. There was no way Kalan was build bedrooms and turn his dojo into a hotel. When Nam asked for a sleeping room, Kalan pointed at the pile of trees he had stacked when he cleared the area.
"Build your own house, there's lots of space, feel free to build your house however you want. There are no lack of trees in the woods." Kalan said generously. The pile of trees stacked up to a hill, and even if it were to be all used up, the members could just cut their own trees. There's no lack of trees in the woods.
Meanwhile Kalan took out his portable mini training room capsule, he pressed the button and *Poof* A 10 x 10 metal room appeared. Kalan also warned Nam to not enter the room and instead press the intercom on the door. He was going to set the gravity over 100x to either workout or meditate and also set a quite high gravity while sleeping. He would be able to efficiently train his body. He also locked the door so no one could forcefully barge in and get crushed by the gravity.
Kalan liked Nam very much, he was hardworking and independent and never slacked off. Kalan taught the training methods Nam and then went to his training room and meditated. Once Nam finished his training, he went to the intercom and asked Kalan for the next training.
In this way, Kalan would train for several days, or weeks or even months before Nam came back on his own and asked for the next part of the training once he finished. Because Kalan stayed in his training room all the time, he did not notice that his dojo had more people join them. Nam conscientiously managed the dojo all on his own. When Nam came asking for instructions, Kalan unlocked the door to his training room and disabled the gravity. He taught Nam inside his training room before kicking him out again and began his own training.
