Kalan Appears

"Kakarot! Your son has a battle power of 117! He is so much more talented than you. How can you waste his talent by letting him stay in this peaceful environment! He needs to experience harsh conditions to improve! I'll train him into the ultimate Saiyan warrior!" Raditz argued with Goku. Although he looked down on the earthlings, but the fact that Goku who was born with a piddling battle power of 2, his son was naturally much more talented. He could not stand how Goku was wasting his talent.

"No! Gohan's my son. You have no right to decide how my son will live!" Goku stared gravely at Raditz. Gohan stood behind Goku and clenched his pants tightly. He had learned from his father that Raditz was his father's elder brother. But this uncle of his was very oppressive and rude.

"Kakarot! Including your son, there are only 6 Saiyans left in the universe!" Raditz said.

"Don't even think about it!" Goku tensed up.

"Hehehe. What? I, as your elder brother won't kill my nephew. So don't worry about, I'll take good care of him. Hehehe..." Raditz took a step forward.

"You dare! Gohan is Kalan's student!" Goku suddenly remembered and used Kalan's name.

"What?!" Raditz stopped his advance.

"You're not lying just to stop me, are you?" Raditz wasn't sure, he valued his own race much more than these puny humans. So naturally, he also believed Kalan could possibly take a half-Saiyan as his student.

*Fwoosh* Suddenly a burst of wind blew out beside Goku and Raditz.

"My, aren't you guys having fun?" Kalan said in sarcasm. From the tense atmosphere, as if a single spark would ignite the gunpowder spread in the air, anyone could tell what was happening with a single glance.

"Teacher!" Gohan relaxed and happily yelled out. Kalan was revered as the strongest man in the world, Gohan also believed the same. With his teacher here, no one could threaten them.

"Kalan!" Goku was pleasantly surprised, he didn't trust Raditz, after learning just how strong his elder brother was. He did not have any confidence in winning, but if push came to shove, he would still step forward and do his best to stop Raditz.

"Y-You're Kalan...?" Raditz stared in wonder, Kalan suddenly appeared next to them. The speed was unreal, but since Kalan had teleported here, there was actually no real movement. What confused him was the incredibly bulky green haired Saiyan reaching 2 meter tall with a green furred tail. The Kalan he knew when he was 4 years old or the ones from the statues were both slim.

"What, you don't recognize me anymore? Do you want to taste my kicks again?" Kalan smiled so deeply his eyes narrowed into slits. He slightly released a bit of his Ki.

*Bibibibip* The scouter automatically picked up the quickly rising battle power.

"3,000!... 4,000!... 5,000!..." Raditz saw the numbers on his scouter jumping quickly.

*Bang* Kalan stared at the scouter worn on Raditz' head and it exploded.

"Right, I forgot that..." Kalan mumbled. The scouter had a transmitter which would send everything it saw and heard back to his companions. Of course, we all know Frieza had also bugged the Saiyans' scouters.

"T-Ten thousand!" The last numbers Raditz saw before his scouter exploded was over 10,000 battle power.

"I just knew Kalan was hiding his battle power..." Goku mumbled. He had some suspicions about Kalan's battle power from seeing the way Raditz had acted ever since he heard Kalan's name.

"W-Why is your hair green?!" Seeing such a high battle power, Raditz did not want to take a kick from Kalan, who knows if that one kick will turn him into mush?

"Green?" Kalan had gotten used to staying in Legendary Super Saiyan transformation, that he had forgotten he was currently in that state. He released his transformation and reverted back to his old appearance. His green hair turned red, his hair inclined, hanging down, his bulky muscles quickly shrunk down, his exaggerated V-shaped upper body quickly turn straight.

"That was Pump Up, right?" Goku did not feel weird as he had seen the bony Master Roshi turn so muscular when he used Pump Up.

"P-Pump Up can increase a Saiyan's physique by that much?!" Raditz' eyes were practically falling out of his eye sockets. The shocking difference between the current slim shaped Kalan when compared to the earlier him was too big of a change.

"Kalan! You're alive!" Raditz smiled widely. He was happy to see an old acquaintance alive. Especially a friend of his family.

Goku stared dumbly due to the big difference in treatment, Raditz turned much warmer when he spoke to Kalan, he was also very respectful and polite towards Kalan. Raditz was practically bullying him and Gohan earlier, even though they were blood-related.

Kalan and Raditz chatted and caught up with each other, Kalan didn't know what exactly happened with Raditz, Nappa and Vegeta during this period as it wasn't told in the story. But since he had engaged in battle with Frieza, he wasn't exactly sure how he would treat them. What shocked him was that Raditz battle power was 3,100. He had thought it would be 1,500 like it was in the story.

"Hehehe, although Frieza treated us very harsh, I've worked hard to get stronger as well." Kalan's pummeling seemed to have made Raditz pay more attention to strength instead of simply bragging. He had put in more effort in training, and with Frieza's sudden change in attitude, the three of them had been treated far harsher than before. The planets and armies they had to clear was much higher in difficulty. The opponents they met were a lot stronger than they could handle, a few times, the three of them had almost gotten killed, even Vegeta's high battle power had proven to be a huge hurdle for them to finish their missions.

Even so, Frieza and his henchmen constantly ridiculed them to no end.

"Raditz' scouter broke. The last readings was over 10,000." Nappa said in a shocked state.

"Hmph, Frieza that bastard only gives us the oldest models, it isn't weird for the scouter to break from the sudden increase in battle power. The question is whether he met Kalan or not." Vegeta was unfazed.

"It should be Kalan, Raditz met him when they were still kids, since he could recognize Kalan, there's no doubt about it." Nappa had teamed up with Raditz much earlier than Vegeta. With Raditz' big mouth, it would be difficult for him not to flaunt his connections with another Saiyan from a noble family.

"I see... I did hear about my father promoting Kalan to an Elite Saiyan, I heard he met the requirement to be an Elite-Class Saiyan with his high battle power as a kid. We lost connection with Kalan not long after he was deployed... To think he would be staying in a weak planet like Earth." Vegeta said.

"Why would an Elite Saiyan like him stay in such a backwater planet?" Nappa frowned. From everything they had heard Raditz say ever since he landed on Earth, they had formed a picture of a weak and useless planet.

"No need to be so hasty, Nappa. Kalan is after all an Elite Saiyan, there must be reasons for him to stay on Earth. It is also possible he lost all communication tools and his spacepod and was stranded on Earth. But for his battle power to exceed 10,000 without being baptized by numerous battles. There might be a secret on Earth to his increase in strength." Vegeta smiled.

"That high? Vegeta, are you sure?" Nappa's eyes widened in shock. His battle power had increased by a substantial amount due to Frieza's harsh treatment and many deadly battles, but 15,000 was unimaginable to him.

"Hehehe. What are you worried about, Nappa? Kakarot only have a piddling 700 battle power, but he is only a low-class Saiyan warrior. I believe Kakarot as well lacks battle experience, once he have been baptized by numerous battles, his battle power will also rise. Once he transforms into a great ape, he will be of some use. Let's head over and meet them, there is after all 3 Saiyans on Earth." Vegeta said.

"Are you sure they wouldn't leave with Raditz to one of Frieza's army planets?" Nappa asked in doubt. The trip to Earth will be for nothing if they left Earth while they themselves were going to Earth.

"Idiot, Raditz came alone in a spacepod, where would they find more spacepods? Without Raditz' scouter to communicate with Frieza Force, they have no way to leave Earth." Vegeta explained.

"Oh! That's true. Great, then lets find out what kind of secrets would make Kalan be willing to stay with those weak earthlings." Nappa smiled wickedly.
