The demented madman tried to use the sword to cut down on the defenceless Hao Ran's neck but an unstoppable force sent him flying backwards.

"WHO IS IT?" Guo Wang growled. He was that close to completing his goal, but someone stopped him! Was it a past member of the Bai Family?

However, something even more shocking occurred. The room Guo Wang was standing in started to disintegrate. The walls of the room collapsed, and the roof opened up like the flaps of a box. The entire room opened up and all he could see was not outside the room, but a starry cosmic night.

The sound of sloshing and roaring loudly could be heard. Guo Wang realized that he was at the River of Time.

Guo Wang puked blood. The attack that came earlier had only now just started to kick in. Guo Wang did not understand how the world he was standing in was suddenly destroyed.

How could someone be strong enough to do such a feat?

At this moment, a figure appeared from the void and started to walk towards Guo Wang. One look at the figure and Guo Wang knew who it was immediately. Hao Ran!

Hao Ran was angry. He did not care about the words Guo Wang said about him, but was angered by the words he said about Bing Ji.

He had purposefully not watched the recordings of Guo Wang's ramblings that were circulating around. Now that he had heard him say it in person, how could Hao Ran let it down? Wouldn't he be letting himself and Bing Ji down?

Guo Wang let out a cry as his body slammed heavily onto the ground. Hao Ran did not stop just there again.

Hao Ran kicked Guo Wang's face. Again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.

Guo Wang had his eyes red with anger, but Hao Ran was not any better either. Perhaps it was the memories that he had received. Hao Ran had learned what would have happened if he did not nip the buds in the roots.

Hao Ran had gone and gotten a bodyguard with an incredibly high cultivation base to destroy the prior enemies that he had "spared". Was it shameless? Yes. But Hao Ran did not care. To protect his family, especially Bing Ji, he would now do whatever it takes.
