After Ling Hua left, Yan Qing drank another jar of Begonia Brew by himself.
With his belly full of food and wine, on a whim, he lay on the rooftop gazing at the stars.
Duanyang sat beside him, looking at the twinkling stars in the sky. After watching them for a while, they lost their appeal. He wondered how many 'star flowers' the young Marquis had spotted after looking at the sky for so long.
He became a bit restless and called out to Yan Qing, "Young Marquis, it's getting late. Should we go back to sleep?"
"Be quiet," Yan Qing scolded him.
Duanyang: "..."
That was all he said after such a long time.
Yan Qing looked at the sky for a while longer, then suddenly muttered, "Have I been tricked?"
Duanyang was startled and asked in a low voice, "Young Marquis, what are you referring to?"
"Ling Hua."
Duanyang thought to himself, the young Marquis had finally realized it, albeit belatedly.
