Durga was frustrated because her words were failing her right now "eh um . ..." she was busy twiddling with her fingers she had a surge of overwhelming panic and she felt like she was losing control or going crazy clenching her hand on the left side of her chest so tightly it was in a lot of pain as she struggled to breathe "quick ! get her some water now she is having an anxiety attack !"Rishabh yelled as his rushed to her side rubbing her gently on the back Rishabh said "breathe in and out slowly in and out in and out " Durga felt little better after that the breathing then she took the glass of water and she gulped it all in one go .

After seeing that she was getting better Rishabh then asked her if she was ok she then nodded and bended down to touch his feet to seek his blessings poor Rishabh who was still recovering from the shock of this sudden action that's when the white haired girl said shyly "t- thank you dad " "what did you just say please say it again"Rishabh said as a tear escaped his cerulean blue eye then another one followed "thank you dad "Durga repeated with confidence to get a sweet child who is like Durga to open up to a new person is nearly impossible and for her to call him dad he never thought it would happen so early and how did she find out about this rubbing the tears in his eyes Rishabh said "go get yourself cleaned up before you catch a cold"

shaking her head Durga as proceeded to go upstairs to the room she was last in . In the bathroom taking off the wet clothes Durga she got into the semi hot shower water and she taking the shower gel and shower scrubber she started scrubbing her body the nasty scars on her back were a sore sight to Durga but she has learned to live with them

meanwhile downstairs

the elders who witnessed the father daughter moment had two opposite emotions the other felt happy and joyful the Bajaj family had girl to brighten up the house while the other felt differently infact she felt like this illegitimate child will take her daughter's place and take her beloved son in law away from her the more she thought about it the more she disliked the girl she doesn't even know looking around she asks "where is Rudra I haven't seen him all day? doesn't my grandson want to see me " "no no no Mrs Harjeet it's nothing like that you see youngsters these days like sitting in their rooms playing video games, suman please bring Rudra here" Prakesh says while the maid goes up to the first floor to fetch the young master from his bedroom

apparently Rudra has not come out of his bedroom not because he was playing video games the whole day but because he was making a lovely present for his sister 's birthday which was yesterday and right now he was finishing it off to give it to her when he heard a knock on the door "come in " the boy said "Mr Rudra your grandmother is here as she wants to see you " Suman said "Really then let's go " Rudra said following the Suman down stairs Down stairs a boy with gleaming cerulean blue eyes "grandma? " " Rudra ! oh come here my boy " old lady says wanting to hug her daughter's only child monitoring him she said "You are quite skinny my grandson why don't you come live me and will feed you " being the well mannered boy that he is Rudra rejected the offer politely

the reasons why he rejected the offer was because 1 he wants to bond with his older sister and the other reason is that he loves his grandmother but sometimes she can be a bit much as he and his grandmother were catching up Durga rush down to the kitchen saying a small prayer then entered the kitchen to make dinner it was a habit to cook she did it every day her whole entire life she loved cooking . so she was going make Tomato soup with rice and lentils and some kheer for dessert

so she got started with chopping the onions, some tomatoes and herbs for the tomato soup she then took a pot placed on medium heat and she melted the butter put in the chopped onions the herbs let them soften a bit then she proceeded to open a large can of pre cut tomatoes along with its water and the rest of the other condiments like some garlic ,ginger and a touch of paprika and she left it to boil after a few minutes she finished off with those small pieces of chopped tomatoes and left to cook on low heat

after then she started cooking the rice and lentils after the she started making the kheer for that she poured some milk into a pot put in the potion of cooked rice she set aside for the kheer into the milk with 6 table spoons of sugar let it simmer for a while before adding the dried fruits and some nuts and then she was done . All those different delicious aromas made the stomachs of the people who smell it grumble in hunger pouring all the dishes into serving bowls the servants took all the serving bowls to the dinning room

Then they informed the masters of the house the food is ready Harjeet ,Prakesh,Rudra and even Rishabh who was busy with a business call put his call on hold just to go and eat mouthwatering food little did they know that the food was prepared by Durga first they started with the tomato soup it was so delicious that finished it of in seconds and even had some more of it tomato soup is Rudra and Rishabh's favourite dish then the move on to the rice and lentil curry the four people on the table also wolfed down all the food on the table

in the kitchen Durga had a big smile on her face as they enjoyed her food then she gave a tray of four bowls of kheer to the head maid and her to serve it to the people then from the kitchen she watched as the head maid serve the sweet dish as she predicted they also finished it in seconds only then did Durga relax as she took a large bowl and poured chocolate flavoured cereal with a lot of milk and as she was eating the cereal she was thinking of how her life would have been if she had been raised by the Bajaj family maybe her life would have been much different from the one she has been living ~
