The Playful Eagle 23: Versus The Eagles! Part 14

"AHAHAHAHA" he laughed like a maniac.

W-What is happening?! What is going on?!

"BRACE YOURSELF JIWOO!!" he shouted.

I tried my best to hold my guard up, but his spiritual pressure was so much I could barely stand on my two feet! Suddenly.. It all stopped!

"W-What.." I said under my breath.

"SCREE!!" he screeched the loudest noise I had ever witnessed in my life!

"AARGH!!" I shouted back and covered my ears.

I could feel how the veins on my forehead started popping! I kept looking at him while he kept screeching, even while covering my ears it felt as if I didn't! Then suddenly, he disappeared.. Again!

"Sh-Shit" I said under my breath and got into my fighting stance.

"JIWOO!" he shouted and suddenly he was flying down towards me!

But it didn't look like it was him, nor a human being at all! It looked like it was a bird, a really big bird! He changed his position and suddenly his legs were in front of him, they had really sharp and big claws from what I could see.

"JIWOO!" Karl shouted.

My instincts didn't say much, but what I felt was right was to jump up and dodge him, just like I did!

"GRAAH" he shouted.

He attacked my legs and ripped off half of my jeans unevenly making them shorts while also giving me big scratch marks.

"ARGH!!" I shouted in pain while pushing him away.

He pulled away his legs and kicked me to the ground. My legs were in so much pain, I could barely feel them!

I looked up at the shadowy king, and indeed I was right! He had morphed himself into a bird.

"This Jiwoo!" he said and raised up his arms to show his wings.

"THIS IS MY JINNI!" he shouted.

He had turned himself into an Eagle!

"B-but I thought-" I said before getting cut off.

"That was your first mistake, arrogant fool!" he said and kicked me again, this time scratching my arm.

I quickly got up and tried to land a punch at him, but he quickly dodged and flew away.

"JINNIS HAVE A LOT MORE TO OFFER THAN YOU THOUGHT!" he shouted while flying around the building.

He was getting faster and faster, from being able to see him fly to barely seeing his after image! Just who is this guy?!

"TAKE THIS!" he shouted and was suddenly flying down towards me again.

I put my arms tightly towards my body covering my face, he attacked me with his claws again.

"AARGH!!" I shouted in pain as I was pushed back from his attack.

He pushed me with a final blow and started flying away again, I fell down to the ground. I could somehow feel how my energy was slowly fading away even though I haven't fought against him.

"WHAT'S WRONG JIWOO?!" he shouted.

I groaned, I couldn't even get up! He scratched my arms severely, they were bleeding as hell!

"Jiwoo! You can't lose hope now! We have come a long way now!"

Karl! He's right. I started to slowly stand up again.

"FOCUS JIWOO! YOUR ENERGY!" he shouted.

"OH WILL YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH!?" The king shouted back at Karl.

Come one, Jiwoo. I gotta focus! I slapped both sides of my face on my cheeks with my hands. I clenched my fists really hard trying to focus my energy.

"Come on.. Come on!" I said in a panicked voice.

I started to panic even more, w-what's wrong with me? I kept looking at the ground while trying to focus, but it just didn't work! Suddenly the king flew down and hit me with his wing down to the ground.

"ARGH!" I shouted while on the ground.

He stood up and looked down at me. It was only then I noticed, he had.. hair? And now when I mention that, his eyes resemble a bit like a human's eye.

"Too much for you to talk about?" he asked in a sarcastic voice.

"You.." I said but didn't finish.

I kept breathing, my breaths were starting to become more and more rough.

"Looks like this is the end for you, Jiwoo!" he shouted.

He lifted his leg and stabbed me on my stomach, in just a split second his leg was back to standing.

"AAARRRGGGHHH" I screamed in immense pain.

He turned away towards where Karl was hiding, I could feel how I was slowly closing my eyes.

"I guess I'll give you the pleasure to let you know who your killer is!" he said while turned away.

I opened my mouth but I only spat out blood. He slowly chuckled.

"You may call me an Eagle, or even a King! However my real name is.." he said and stopped.

"..Ludwig!!" he shouted.

I could hear his footsteps as if he was right next to me. He was slowly walking towards Karl.

"Now comes my real prize!" he said with laughter.

"I'm sorry Jiwoo! I'm truly sorry!!" Karl said with a sorrowful voice.

I could feel as if these were my final breaths. Everyone was counting on me, everyone! I let everyone down..

I wish.. I WISH I COULD FIGHT MORE!!

"Jiwoo!" someone said.

"Jiwoo..!" the same voice said.

The voice continued and multiplied! It kept becoming more and more, dark voices, light voices, familiar voices. Suddenly I could see a world full of fire! The voices kept saying my name and the fire became more intense. I could start seeing blood and hear screaming.

Stop it.. The voices kept becoming more and more, the fire was more intense, the screaming became more powerful. Stop it!

It continued, it was like a headache, but more powerful! Get..

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!" I screamed with all I had and put my hands on my head.

"GET OUT! GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT!!" I screamed repeatedly.

I could feel how I was crawling into a ball.

"STOOOOOP!!" I screamed with all I had, I could feel how the ground started to shake.

"JIWOO!!" Karl screamed back.
